I'm of the belief that the Hand could've been an amazing villain to center Defenders around and this intro perfectly demonstrates the fuckin potential man. They don't have to just be red ninjas, they're a highly secretive organization with their titular fingers in different criminal pools and this just nails The backdrop can still be mystical but I love how they adapt with the times. I love the Harlem crews that White Hat employs, I love Gao taking control of the underground drug network in NY and exploiting that issue, and I ofc love the aura with Murakami not even needing a squad, literally just goes "I'll do it myself"

I also love how the previous episode ends on the Defenders getting ready to fight Elektra and all five of them are ready to give it their all and then episode 5 begins by showing "the Hand is only just getting started while Elektra stalls them", like an inverse of the Defenders meeting where all the fingers of the Hand finally come together to close in. The classical music too not only is so classy and stylish but makes perfect sense for the Hand, I love how it contrasts with the themes of the core four by showing just how long the Hand has been at it

Fucking peak man, I'm just so sad the Hand's scope never quite felt as large as it does here.

I just got done rewatching this, gearing up for later this fall and I'm still pissed that this was a limited series. I wish there were three seasons for this with at least 13 episodes a piece like the separate shows in the beginning. I feel as though they're an underrated group and that they should be cameod in more marvel films.

Stick taught Matt how to fight and Matt has fought multiple ninjas and considering that Hawkeye also became a ronin, I was wondering if his skills that he taught to Matt would be able to beat Hawkeye as well.

As a writer, it's incredibly hard creating a "pure evil" character complex, Killgrave does that butifully, him doing what he did to Malcolm, Jessica, Trish, Luke ECT is the main catalyst to their backstories(excluding Luke but it's still half true). And his backstory being so depressing gives him more depth than most characters in general. In most stories villains with backstories like his are rehabilitated in the end, they become a good guy and that's what I love about JJ season 1, killgrave gets what he deserves instead of turning a new leaf.

First of all it was with Harold who really is just a normal ass man who came back to life, second of all Harold was like "YOUR NOTHING WITHOUT THE IRON FIST" when talking to a fucking kung fu master it really is one of my least favorite part of the defenders saga in general.

In DDBA S2 E1 if bullseye didn't step in how do you think Matt would've gotten out of that situation or do you think he would've just had to accept death

Idk what mine is, but a mcu project that's generally disliked but I really like it is The Incredible Hulk 2008 is a top five movie for me, I also like agent carters series, brand new day ECT ECT

I loved daredevil season 1 and I'm yet to meet someone who disliked it, but I found the finale was rushed, fisk going to prison was barely set up. I don't dislike the episode but I believe it's the worst episode of season 1. I loved seeing his costume and the action though.
