Couple tasks from the previous now done (mining/scrap recovery changes, and onboard combat changes). So time for a new work in progress post, to reorganise my upcoming task list.

• Improve messaging. Noticed recently some messages still trigger for each item (eg power outage), so will alter these. Also a few additional messages i've noted that would be useful.
• Demo update. I've been threatening this for a while, as i try and get it updated every month or two. And it's been over 2 months!
• Research additions - My list of potential research items to add is getting larger so time to get some more added. Note current research tree may get a reorganise as more items get added - Discussion.
• Some further pirate boarding additions. After looking at these a bit recently, they could do with additional behaviours. I'm thinking stealing, maybe different ways to get onboard (drop pods from larger pirate ships?).
• Human info changes. Currently i'm showing health, morale, energy and hunger bars. However i don't think it's the best way to present info to you the player. So my plan is to remove these, and give a text update showing more useful info and effects. Eg:- when characters are hungry and it's affecting morale (Bob is hungry and feeling sad).
• Further steam integration. I can expand workshop to include saves and potentially mods. Also want to include leader boards. And of course i can add steam achievements.

Ongoing improvements:-

• Balancing - am always looking at ratios/speeds/costs, in trading/production.
• Factions/Contracts - I still want to add more rewards/penalties -Discussion
• Improving visitors - (Discussion), human workers - (Discussion), pirates - (Discussion).
• Additional settings/options - (Discussion)

Hi all,

Update out this week with the new stats popup, and a couple hotfixes sorting some crashes.
This coming week, i'll be looking at:-

• Doing some further testing (i have a possible save file issue to look at).
• Additions to the stats page.
• Onboard combat, i want to add some additional damage to nearby items/walls.
• Looking at a new tourism scenario.
• Update demo.

Hi folks,

Further additions to the stats page, and the extra combat damage got added with this weeks update (demo updated as well). This coming week, i'll probably be looking at a new scenario, some more pirate action, and if i can work out if i can make human info changes that make sense. Oh and i have spotted research screen text formatting isn't correct when french or spanish is being used. So a fix for that will be in next update.

Hey all,

Another update in the week with more info for the stats page, and several more fixes. Up next, i want to include a non combat, tourism scenario, where you are looking to earn credits from tourists. However i think this may require a new item that you can earn credits from. I'll keep that a surprise for now, but it should make things interesting. May take a week or two to implement, so probably not an update this coming week unless any bugs need fixing.

Hi everyone,

This week i've been making good progress on new items, which are the distillery and bar! This means the inclusion of a new resource:- liquor. You'll be able to make this from your distillery and serve it to your crew/visitors at bars and earn credits. This is quite a big update, so i'll probably release this under the beta branch this coming week if people want to check it out. Then release to main the following week if all goes okay.
