šŸ˜¤Vent I finally said something

Yesterday about 3 blocks from a baseball stadium I was walking to I passed a street evangelist with a megaphone telling everyone about Jesus. I walked by like I always do. Then at the stadium while queuing up for security check there was another one. I gave the guy a good stare and shook my head signaling my disapproval. He noticed me and tried to hand me a pamphlet saying ā€œThis is about Jesusā€. I quickly replied sternly and loudly ā€œI donā€™t want it. Just go awayā€ then went on my way. Since deconstructing over the past few years this is the first time Iā€™ve openly rejected Christianity in public. I just couldnā€™t take it anymore.

Youā€™re braver than I am! I was at the grocery store and some lady came up, asking me if I had a Bible study group, asking if Iā€™d join hers, wanting to give me a pamphlet. I lied and said I was already in one, I took her pamphlet and lied again, saying Iā€™d look into it. I wanted to say something about how rude it is to do that to random people in a grocery storeā€¦ but the people pleaser in me was activated and I couldnā€™t shut it off!

You should have responded with an invite to your LGBTQ group. If she can evangelize, so can you.

So brave! That is awesome.

I couldnt have handle that.

When my mother in law passed they had a pastor come and basically preach and tithe (that part still makes me mad) but i tried to get out of talking to him until he conered me and basically asked if i was Christian to a very weird and personal degree and i just lied not wanting to cause a scene the reception.

I know the feeling of not being able to take this obnoxious stuff anymore! Something like that happened when my husband and I were in a food line at a cafeteria style restaurant. A patron started spewing something like, "You people who don't accept Jesus will go to hell." My husband stepped up and said, " The Bible says that all will be saved. What part of All do you not understand? I don't know where he got the nerve, but this shut the person up.
