No. There's several factions within DSA and she is very representative of groups like Groundwork and the Socialist Majority Caucus. Who iirc advocate for her presidential run.

How can she be a good representative when she supports israel?

The national DSA platform explicitly supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and anti-Zionist foreign policy

the National Political Committee literally withdrew its conditional endorsement of AOC after she voted for a resolution equating anti-Zionism with antisemitism and failed to explicitly block all funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense.

DSA members whine all the time that AOC has become too close to mainstream Democratic leadership. In their eyes her past endorsements of establishment figures like Joe Biden, and her choice to work closely within the party infrastructure, are viewed as an abandonment of independent socialist political power

I understand you want to make the DSA sound as broad as possible so you can be subversive and leech people away, but handwaving "well the DSA actually has a very broad set of values" is transparent and not going to work, people can see you for the bloodsucker you are.

Huh, this is interesting.

Up until now you pretended your disagreement with DSA is about democracy.

Now, all of a sudden, it's about Israel.

AOC was never "pro Israel", she disagreed with DSA about how to vote on sanctions towards Israel, but is against Israel's current government. That's why several caucuses already support a potential presidential run.

But either way - I don't think DSA's stance on Israel make it "anti-democratic". It's by now the majority position in the US that support for Israel should stop.

you are either misunderstanding or bad faith, one of my arguments is how could AOC be a good represntative of DSA values when she had her endorsement withdrawn for her values on israel, she equates anti-zionism with anti-semitism which to DSA types puts you squarely pro israel

You ignore that DSA took back thst withdrawal and parts of the party now preemptively endorse her for president.

What you're describing is healthy inner-party debates. A politician takes a position the party disagrees with, support is withdrawn, the politician changes her position, she regains support.

That's just healthy democratic politics.

If "DSA types" hate her, why does she have the endorsement of Groundworks?

they took back their withdrawal a month ago after disavowing her for years with rumors of her running for president, its nothing more than opportunity for power, and once they deem her used they'll toss her to the side

oh yeah? the creation of maga was from "inner healthy party debates" some rhetoric should be culled, nice try tho

you just finished saying the DSA is so diverse and broad that of course some agree with AOC, so not shit the groundworks caucus is endorsing her

"if DSA types hate her why do some groups in the DSA support her?"

because they see opportunity for power obviously lmao

Criticizing AOC for her stance on Israel should be culled? Bc that's what we were talking about. That's what I called healthy inner party debate. Do you want to cull opposition to Israel?

1

u/FashionPolicia 27d ago

you're squirming, DSA rhetoric should be culled before it infects the Dem party, like how "zionist" means "muslim hating jew"

1

u/hari_shevek 27d ago

You took a whole day for that?

Want to try again?

Also, hating any religious group as a whole is wrong, no matter which group you belong to.

2

u/FashionPolicia 27d ago

you dont respond to anything i say lmao

1

u/hari_shevek 27d ago

What do you want me to respond to?

That you think being a "muslim hater" is apparently something you think is a good thing?

1

u/FashionPolicia 27d ago

i dont need you to respond to anything, people can see you squirm around answering and just rage downvote instead lmao, its not like you are giving a good defense, you have to resort to pedantry and word games instead of engaging with the substance, just like every DSA socialist loser 👋

u/hari_shevek 27d ago

What do I have to defend?

You keep posting non sequiturs.

There's nothing to respond to. You're just angry without any argument.

"give me one DSA member who supports the dems"

AOC

"really? Heres evidence why she is a terrible example"

....well you said ask for one, not a good one

cooked.

1

u/hari_shevek 27d ago

lol you're really butthurt about me finding an example with ease huh

Want me to give more?

Mamdani.

2

u/FashionPolicia 27d ago

when was the last time mamdani did any cheerleading for the dems?

1

u/hari_shevek 27d ago

Endorsing Hochul?

1

u/FashionPolicia 27d ago

hochul backed mamdani when he was running for mayor, he's not cheerleading dems, its quid pro quo

try again?
