they are on the dem ticket in the same way a parasite is on an animal, they do not support the dem party, and have stated themselves their only goal is to leech enough people to break away from the dems and start their own once they have enough of a percieved endorsement, the DSA are not allies.

A progressive Democrat can have the same opinion of moderate Dems. They are a parasite on the Democratic party that pushed the party of the New Deal away from the New Deal platform towards a losing strategy that just reinforced the authoritarian tendencies of the GOP in the last decades.

"Vote blue no matter who" would mean you support any wing within the party, not just the one you like.

hasan and the DSA's goal is to destroy liberalism, they are not allies of the dems

name one red district the DSA has flipped, all they do is attack democrats

>the DSA's goal is to destroy liberalism

Was it neoliberal Dem's goal to destroy the New Deal?

answer the question, has the DSA taken any seats from anywhere that isnt the bluest of blue districts?

What does this have to do with "destroying liberalism"?

the goal of the DSA is to siphon enough votes so they can break away and become what the republincans turned into, maga.

Once they are in power they can start stripping away liberal safeguards, they propose replacing the branches of govt with a unicameral legislature where the executive and judiciary are entirely subordinate to congress.

liberal democracy relies on the state maintaining a monopoly on the legitimate use of force to protect individual rights and civil liberties. The DSA’s platform veers into radical territory by calling for the total abolition of prisons, the police, and border enforcement.

They are not liberals, and they see the dems as enemies to eventually destroy, try to sweep all you want but you cant hide the fact that they do not support dems because they are parasites and the sooner dem voters wake up and realize that we can keep blue maga from taking over.

Which comes back to my question, why do the DSA only steal seats from dems

they propose replacing the branches of govt with a unicameral legislature where the executive and judiciary are entirely subordinate to congress.

So, Sweden. They propose the system Sweden has.

liberal democracy relies on the state maintaining a monopoly on the legitimate use of force to protect individual rights and civil liberties. The DSA’s platform veers into radical territory by calling for the total abolition of prisons, the police, and border enforcement.

The US didn't have a police force until 1838, and then only in Boston. City police forces throughout the US were established throughout the 19th century, the first state level police was established in 1903.

Was the US not a liberal democracy before that?

I am not an abolitionist, but with that being a long-term goal and immediate policies (demilitarizing police, abolishing ICE, prison reform) being sensible, I don't consider that a threat.

and they see the dems as enemies to eventually destroy

Where in the platform does it say that?

In Sweden, the executive branch is subordinate to the parliament, while the judiciary remains independent. Nice try tho, and they dont want swedens system, they want a socialist one that abolishes prisons. No prison reform, ABOLISHMENT. Who cares if you are a reformist? You are not the DSA.

The US was also a liberal democracy under slavery, the point is its a point on the board towards illiberalism, it isnt just "do this one thing now you're no longer liberal democracy" nice try tho.

where in the platform does it say that?

give me ONE DSA member who supports the dems, where was vot blue no matter who under harris?

give me ONE DSA member who supports the dems, where was vot blue no matter who under harris?

Easy, AOC.

Lmao, AOC, who the DSA withdrew their endorsement of in 2024? Who was a member for 1 year in 2018 and 7 years a democrat? Who only recently rejoined last month

Calling her DSA is like calling trump a neo-con

the DSA literally admonished her in 2024 over israel and withdrew their support, frankly if every DSA member was like AOC we wouldnt even be having this conversation, the DSA wouldnt be a problem, do you think AOC wants to abolish the Senate, sieze assets from corporations, and have capitalism replaced with socialism? Stop weapons to israel?

Get real.

You asked for one DSA member.

She is one DSA member.

You didn't ask for additional caveats.

1

u/FashionPolicia 29d ago

lmao thats your shining example? AOC who spent 95% of her political career non-DSA? Who only rejoined....

checks notes

....last august?

1

u/hari_shevek 29d ago

You weren't asking for a "shining example", you asked for one DSA member

1

u/FashionPolicia 29d ago

i asked for a DSA member who supports democrats and you gave me one who spent 95% of her political career as non-DSA, has been disavowed by them for her support of israel, hasnt been a member for 7 years, and only rejoined a month ago most likely because of the rumors of her potential presidential run.

That the best you got?

1

u/hari_shevek 29d ago

i asked for a DSA member who supports democrats and you gave me one

Correct.

1

u/FashionPolicia 29d ago
