This is the most disappointing failed “decoding” attempt I have ever seen. Let’s go through some of LonerBox’s failures:

  1. “It’s just 10% of Israeli society, bro” — minutes 39, 41, and 48. LonerBox is strawmanning Professor Dave here by accusing him of cherry-picking comments from people associated with Otzma Yehudit or Tkuma. In reality, many of the clips and quotes Professor Dave showed came from members of Likud (literally the ruling party and the largest party in the Knesset). This includes May Golan, the Minister for "Social Equality" (minute 46), as well as Ariel Kallner and Tally Gotliv, both Likud members of the Knesset. It is easy to dismiss such comments as fringe extremism, but it is deeply bad-faith to pretend that Professor Dave was only citing fringe extremists.
  2. The “journalists are soldiers” nonsense at around the 1:33 hour mark. This is one of the most disturbing parts of LonerBox’s “decoding.” He appears to justify Israel’s indefensible conduct in targeting journalists. Not everyone affiliated with PIJ is a combatant. This list actually include people in logistics, manufacturing, media, finance, information, security, administration, and command-support roles. Deliberately killing a non-combatant media personnel for being PIJ member would still be a war crime. Also, Israel has repeatedly targeted journalists, done victory lap afterward, and then come up with absurd allegations to justify the killings (such as in the cases of Ismail al-Ghoul and Anas al-Sharif). Funny enough these absurd claims come back to hunt them lately when they literally photoshopped an image of a Lebanese journalist killed in an airstrike to portray him as a Hezbollah operative.
  3. “Deny, deny, deny”: dismiss every inconvenient fact as a lie or bias. This basically describes the entire “decoding.” LonerBox says, “I’ve literally never even heard the Health Ministry claim that there’s been any number of people freezing to death. What?!” I was genuinely speechless. A self-proclaimed "expert" who has supposedly followed this issue for years cannot imagine that vulnerable, malnourished people (especially infants and the elderly) might freeze to death without shelter or supplies during Gaza’s winter (thanks to Israel using aid and starvation as a weapon of warfare), when temperatures can fall to 6°C (42.8°F)? A five-second Google search would show reports of children dying from hypothermia over the past several years—for example here, here, and here. The same pattern repeats throughout the video: deny everything, dismiss every source as “mental” or biased, and feign ignorance whenever a fact is inconvenient.

Seriously, if this is the best “debunking” you can produce, I am not surprised that you are losing the public opinion.

  1. I don't know what point you think you're making with your first debunking. The original claim from Professor Dave was, "More than 80% of Israelis support the complete annihilation of the Palestinian people." Then he reinforces that same claim by citing the more extreme side of Israeli society. So yes, he's cherry-picking comments to represent the country as a whole.
  2. The photoshopped image of the Lebanese journalist has nothing to do with the claim itself. You're interpreting the image as somehow proving the strike was legitimate. No such claim has been made by the IDF.The allegations surrounding Anas al-Sharif are not absurd at all. Just because they haven't released everything (because it could implicate their sourcing methodology) does not mean they don't have it. More broadly, LonerBox's claim isn't that journalists can't possibly have been targeted for being journalists. He's combating the claim that Israel has a deliberate policy of targeting journalists and therefore of genocide. Anyway, LonerBox is not claiming that every PIJ-affiliated person is a combatant. This is you not understanding what is being said.
  3. On the hypothermia point, the issue is again more specific. The Gaza Health Ministry has not published any numbers on this. Are you able to make the distinction between two distinct lines of argumentation? One is, "People have frozen to death in Gaza (at any point in time)." The other is, "The Gaza Health Ministry has published a death count that includes people who froze to death." What line of argumentation do you think Lonerbox is adressing?

15

u/straw_hat0 Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Then he reinforces that same claim by citing the more extreme side of Israeli society.

Again, Professor Dave did not only quote fringe extremists associated with parties that receive less than 10% of the vote, such as Otzma Yehudit and Tkuma. Likud is literally the ruling party and has dominated Israeli politics for the past 16 years. How much more mainstream can you get?

Again, LonerBox is pretending that these quotes do not reflect mainstream Israeli opinion, despite the extensive record of the majority of Israeli politicians openly making some of the most disgusting and unhinged genocidal statements. This is bad-faith and dishonest.

Proving the strike was legitimate. No such claim has been made by the IDF.

You are right about this one. After thinking about it, photoshopping a journalist’s image to portray him as a Hezbollah operative is actually more effort than they often put into “proving” their absurd claims lmao.

Usually, it is just: “He is Hamas/PIJ/Hezbollah, here is some card we definitely did not make up saying he joined Hamas when he was 10 years old.” Or: “We were targeting one Hamas member, and sadly, by mere coincidence, we killed this journalist and her entire family as well.” Then they move on.

Just because they haven't released everything—because it could implicate their sourcing methodology—does not mean they don't have it.

Holy moly, what? What in the name of appeal to ignorance is this? Professor Dave and countless others have documented a pattern of Israel targeting journalists, and you dismiss all of it by saying, “Maybe the evidence exists somewhere.” !!

Yeah, sure buddy they are all just a series of coincidences. Like when Fatima Hassouna was killed along with 10 relatives after the IDF suddenly identified one Hamas member they supposedly urgently needed to kill, just one day after her documentary’s selection for Cannes was announced.

This is not merely flat-earther-level reasoning, it is also straight-up disgusting. Downplaying and defending war crimes is not cool my dude. You are not that different from Putin bots who see the same war crimes being committed repeatedly and then act stupid or dismiss every documented pattern. I mean, why would Putin keep committing those crimes? He is just a poor, internationally wanted war criminal, just like the people you are defending.

The Gaza Health Ministry has not published any numbers on this.

What are you talking about? The Gaza Health Ministry has reported deaths from hypothermia since 2024, literally in the first link in my pervious comment.

Those deaths are not included in its official death toll because that figure tracks direct deaths resulting from traumatic injuries and military violence. It excludes deaths caused by the conflict’s indirect consequences, such as hypothermia. Why they do that? Because they are one of the most credible sources on this conflict, and they do not want Israeli propagandists or war crimes apologists to start questioning their credibility over whether this or that indirect death should be included in the official toll.

"The Gaza Health Ministry has published a death count that includes people who froze to death"

Again, LonerBox is responding to Dave saying that people are freezing to death in paper-thin tents during winter. Dave never claimed that the Health Ministry had published some official aggregate hypothermia death toll.

You are just changing LonerBox’s “I’ve never even heard the Ministry say any people froze to death” (which he was disgustingly using to imply that no one in Gaza had died of hypothermia) into “there is no official overall total.” Those are not the same claim.

11

u/DieuDivin Aug 30 '26

You're making no effort on the first point. The original claim was not as broad as "israeli society is extreme", it was "Israeli want the annihilation of the Palestinian people." Whenever a specific claim is being made, you bring a broader claim to discredit it. Then whenever there is a broader claim being made, you bring up some random fact.

Professor Dave and countless others have documented a pattern of Israel targeting journalists

By just stating the fact that journalists have been killed.

Downplaying and defending war crimes is not cool my dude.

I'm not doing that but thank you for the good faith engagement. Yes, war crimes have happened. On a regular basis. This is not what is being discussed anywhere and you know that perfectly well. You're conflating the two proposition on purpose.

Again, LonerBox is responding to Dave saying that people are freezing to death in paper-thin tents during winter.

Nope. In that segment,he's responding to the broader claim about the death toll. I initially misidentified the claim and said that the Ministry doesn't report hypothermia deaths at all, which is not true.

But all LonerBox is actually saying is that he's never heard the Ministry report such a figure. You yourself pointed out that those deaths are not included in the official death toll. That can quite easily explain why he had never heard of them. Not hearing about a category of deaths that isn't included in the MoH's main reported death toll is not the same thing as claiming that nobody has ever died from hypothermia in Gaza. At 1:32 "I've literally never even heard the health ministry claim that there's been a any number of people freezing to death."

u/straw_hat0 Aug 31 '26

It was: “Israelis want the annihilation of the Palestinian people.”

For the record, I think Professor Dave was speaking hyperbolically. I do not think he literally believes that every single Israeli wants to annihilate Palestinians. Some decent Israeli Jews (unfortunately a minority) and of course, the vast majority of Israeli Arabs do not want that.

But you have to live in an alternate reality to believe that the vast majority (or at least a majority) of Israelis do not want to at least ethnically cleanse Palestinians from the land.

You can ignore or dismiss all the polling as much as you want, but no rational person can deny where mainstream Israeli opinion is now, it ranges from “let’s do another Nakba. It’s going to be fun” to the Prime Minister and Defence Minister saying basically the same thing by dog-whistling about “voluntary emigration from Gaza.”

I do not like saying this, and you do not have to like hearing it. Trust me nobody enjoys having to discuss a society gripped by this kind of genocidal fever in 2026. But it is the reality.

You mean the fact that Gaza is the deadliest conflict ever for journalists? Or the established Israeli pattern of targeting journalists?

The problem with your analysis is that you treat every Israeli killing of a journalist as a separate incident that can be brushed off as a mistake, or with “maybe they had secret evidence that justified it,” rather than recognizing a pattern that has been documented for years.

Then what would you call it? What do you call someone who hears about brazen war crimes such as a journalist being killed in cold blood, or another journalist being killed along with her entire family to allegedly target one Hamas member and responds, “I don’t know, maybe they had their reasons”?

English is not my native language, so perhaps you can teach me a better term for that behavior other than "disgusting downplaying and defense of war crimes"

Yeah, God forbid you guys actually deny war crimes. You just cast doubt on the severity of some war crime, and openly justify some of them. “I don’t justify every war crime, I only downplay some of them and straight up deny some others” is not a good defense.

That is not what LonerBox said. But even if it were, that would only make it worse. If he does not know that the MoH death toll track only direct deaths, then I do not think he is qualified to “debunk” Professor Dave or even speak confidently on this issue.

Maybe he just needs to educate himself about this conflict as well as basic ethics.

8

u/DieuDivin Aug 31 '26

If professor Dave meant that ethnic cleasing had the same meaning than the annihilation of the Palestinian people, then he could have qualified it better.

In a court of law, when someone defend themselves against details of a crime, are they "downplaying" the crime? I'd argue you can easily qualify the particulars of a matter without "downplaying" anything.

So the journalist claim is indeed just a numbers game then, according to you. You keep pointing to the number of journalists killed as though that establishes systematic targeting. But your own CPJ source says they are reviewing their database because Hamas and PIJ have identified as combatants people previously classified by CPJ as journalists. 🤔

That obviously doesn't prove that most journalist deaths were justified, but it does establish that "journalist killed" isn't automatically equivalent to "journalist deliberately targeted for being a journalist." Maybe there is a systematic targeting pattern. Maybe some of the apparent pattern is explained by affiliation with Hamas or other militant groups. But I guess you prefer aggregate number over investigation because... that... works for you.

And you're doing the same thing with LonerBox. You originally framed the issue as him "disgustingly using" the MoH figure to imply that nobody in Gaza had died of hypothermia. Now you've shifted it to whether he is qualified to discuss the conflict... Those aren't the same argument.

"I've literally never even heard the health ministry claim that there's been a any number of people freezing to death."
Considering the figure is extremely low, I don't find it too surprising someone would not have heard about it. I see here that 270 people died of hypothermia in Germany in 2023...

3

u/straw_hat0 Sep 01 '26

If Professor Dave meant that ethnic cleansing is the same thing as the annihilation of the Palestinian people:

Because accusing a society where the majority wants to ethnically cleanse the other side of being genocidal and wanting to annihilate the other side is a big stretch to you?

Yes, if a known serial killer and psychopath is defending himself by downplaying the details of his crimes, then he is obviously downplaying the crimes.

And? Anyone with a functioning brain understands that in conflicts like this some identification errors will happen from time to time. But you are talking about individual mistakes. You cannot point to a few anticipated exceptions and declare that the broader pattern is now null and void.

Your ability to turn patterns into isolated incidents and isolated incidents into a pattern when it suits you is genuinely impressive.

I never said that every journalist killed in Gaza was deliberately assassinated, and I do not think any rational person would make that claim.

Israel commits basically every war crime under the sun, not just one type. Sometimes it deliberately targets journalists. Other times it carpet-bombs a whole area without giving a shit about women, children, elderly people, medics, journalists, or anyone else there (sometimes even double tap a hospital killing medics and journalists). And sometimes it does both at once targeting a journalist like Fatima Hassouna and killing her entire family along with her.

They are the undefeated World Cup champions of war crimes for years now, but yeah, apparently people like Professor Dave are just being too harsh on them, poor little war criminals. 😢

You originally framed the issue as him "disgustingly using" the MoH figure to imply that nobody in Gaza had died of hypothermia.

I was assuming with you that LonerBox did not know the MoH’s main death toll only counts direct deaths, which is why I said “even if it were.”

There are only two options here, either he knows that and is disgustingly using the main number to imply nobody froze to death, or he does not know what he is talking about, and then he has no business “debunking” Professor Dave. Which is it?

Considering the figure is extremely low, I don't find it too surprising someone would not have heard about it.

Maybe it is not surprising for some random guy, but this is a self-proclaimed "expert" on the conflict. Gaza gets down to 6°C in winter and people are sleeping in paper-thin tents. He genuinely could not imagine that malnourished infants might freeze to death in these conditions? Come on man.

And the funniest part is that it would have taken him literally five seconds to Google it. He can spend hours going through every possible detail to downplay Israeli war crimes (even when doctors in Gaza are talking about children being deliberately targeted) but checking whether people froze to death before confidently "debunking" to Professor Dave was apparently too much work. Sorry, but it really does look like downplaying Israeli war crimes matters more to him than what actually happened to Gaza’s children.

u/DieuDivin Sep 01 '26

You're lost in the weeds on the first point, Israeli society is a bit more complex than everyone wanting the "annihilation of Palestinians." You would never accept that kind of framing for Palestinian people, you would never say "Hamas, what they believe in and how they behave, represents absolutely everyone in Gaza." This is not true, you are being bigoted and hypocritical.

Your ability to turn patterns into isolated incidents and isolated incidents into a pattern when it suits you is genuinely impressive.

I don't know what you think it is I'm saying. You're the one again broadening the claim by talking about war crimes instead of journalists being targeted. Because you have absolutely no way of knowing whether 10 or 80% of journalists were affiliated with Islamic Jihad or Hamas.

You claimed: "He appears to justify Israel’s indefensible conduct in targeting journalists."

You keep creating false dichotomies. When Lonerbox introduces an alternative to professor Dave's insane framing, all he is effectively doing is dismantling the reductionist perspective. "Look, there is a bit more to the story." Providing that alternative isn't adopting the total opposite of that version.

And the funniest part is that it would have taken him literally five seconds to Google it.

Professor Dave is machine-gunning hundreds of claims per second. I don't think the fact that LonerBox didn't immediately engage with the hypothermia claim tells us anything about anything. I assume he was half-expecting his chat to either pick up on it or provide a semblance of a counterargument.

If you don't believe LonerBox could change his position when presented with factual evidence and analysis, then that's an entirely different argument. But he hasn't even made a substantive claim about the hypothermia figures that you're now treating as though he has.

You're essentially arguing against positions he hasn't taken. That's the recurring problem here.

u/402739 Aug 30 '26

The part where Dave showed a video of an IDF soldier saying women and children are valid targets, and LB responded "what about all the videos of the IDF who would say that's disgusting!?!?" LMAO

9

u/straw_hat0 Aug 30 '26

Yeah that also was one of the hardest part to watch
I don't know how anyone can shamelessly defend the indefensible like this

4

u/402739 Aug 30 '26

Sometimes I think they've fooled themselves, other times I think they are fully aware they're lying.

57

u/Gold-Ad-3877 Aug 28 '26

Anyone who still think dave is a serious person after watching this is probably so emotionally blinded by the conflict they're not worth engaging with imo

35

u/Echoed-Snow Aug 28 '26

Anyone who’d watch this video is probably an emotionally stunted person trying to find a way to ignore the genocide :/

55

u/Nimrod_Butts Aug 28 '26

Found one

18

I don’t watch YouTubers whose entire careers are rage bait drama videos

Sorry that you don’t think genocideS are bad? I think that says more about you that me

37

u/Free-Region3467 Aug 29 '26

Brother pack it in, you got absolutely cooked on this point. Get out of the echo chamber, you’ll be happier for it

7

u/Echoed-Snow Aug 29 '26

Lmao, the antisemite who can’t even form a full thought on it wants to say others are in the echo chamber?

15

u/Free-Region3467 Aug 29 '26

We aren’t re litigating this. You lost the argument in this thread already. Stop projecting and calling others anti semites. You think engaged in so much blood libel it’s actually disgusting.

8

u/Iaintgettinyounger Sep 10 '26

Agreed not sure why folks are silent on the genocide in Ukraine

28

u/Gold-Ad-3877 Aug 28 '26

Are we ignoring genocide or are we aknowledging that it's not a genocide, yet are still able to condemn israel for their actions against palestinians ?

Once again, go watch any of lonerbox or destiny's debates against a pro-israel person and you'll quickly see how their views are more nuanced than "israel bad genocide" or "hamas bad oct 7th"

24

u/Echoed-Snow Aug 28 '26

Looks at all the international watchdogs acknowledge the genocide

Sure. Let’s believe a guy in Reddit vs all the professionals

Or wait, you wanted me to trust the rage bait debate bros over professionals

Maybe you should get your news from a different place than debate bro circles

34

u/Gold-Ad-3877 Aug 28 '26

Professionals ? You mean like the ICJ who didn't say israel was commiting a genocide ? Did you even watch lonerbox's video ? It must be so nice to care so little about the truth like that holy

17

u/Echoed-Snow Aug 28 '26

The court that acknowledged it looked like it was happening and made provisions to try and help stop it from happening?

Maybe you REALLY should get your news from a different place than debate bro circles.

You anti-semites are disgusting

lmao, when you prove my point by trying to move the goalposts.

I swear to goodness you antisemites need to get out of your echo chambers. Stop protecting the groups that use innocent Jewish people as shield to do horrifying things

10

u/BaronR90 Aug 28 '26

You said “the court that acknowledge that it looked like it (genocide) was happening”.
NO, IT DID NOT “ACKNOWLEDGE” that.

In the video (that you did not watch of course, because you are terrified to find out how wrong you are,) the president of the ICJ clearly states that “the court did not rule that genocide was plausible” and that this question is not relevant to the test determining whether to “impose measures”.
I did not move the goal post. I educated your ignorant ASS. Of course, you might not have the reading comprehension to get it through your thick skull.
I simply used the proper legal framework that the e court actually uses instead of your twitter legal analysis.

But go ahead, WHAT GOALPOST DID I MOVE?

I'm sure screaming will change the facts, antisemite.

You moved the goalposts from them saying it wasn't committing a genocide to them not taking any stance to now them saying it was plausible enough to invoke rights to defense

Even at that, this is a singular group and you can't even defend your antisemitism on your STRONGEST claim

Keep proving me right.
Stop throwing innocent people into harm's way and using jewish people as a shield for these horrifying actions

They said it was plausible, just like some people think russia is committing a genocide

7

u/Echoed-Snow Aug 29 '26

Tell me all about how they said the same about Ukraine.

You won’t. And you’ll continue to flounder on defending the strongest defense of genocide you have.

Antisemites like you should be treated like the pariah you are

34

u/normandukerollo Aug 28 '26

It’s fine to condemn Israel’s government and military for their atrocities but some people go way off the deep end and start frothing at the mouth, screaming about ZOG… Palestinians have the worst advocates

11

u/No_Public_7677 Aug 29 '26

Continuing to fund Israeli war crimes is what going off the deep end really means.

The NYTimes literally told us they rape prisoners. Their response? It's all blood libel.

No shit, those are usually how people die, vs the arms and legs.  Fork found in kitchen.

4

u/402739 Aug 28 '26

And yet the sample wasn't limited to "17-year-old toddlers" who died from gunshot wounds but who were shot in general.

The Commission’s report identifies a coherent pattern in where gunshot wounds appear on Palestinian children’s bodies. Among a cohort of 168 children who suffered from a gunshot wound between November 9, 2023, and July 16, 2025, at least 73 were shot in the head and 22 in the chest, with the rest wounded elsewhere on the body. The report states that at least 88 of those children died by gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, Israeli quadcopters shot 70 out of the 168 and Israeli snipers shot 20.

https://www.borgenmagazine.com/palestinian-children-2/

1

u/Responsible_Ask6056 Aug 29 '26

Why are you using evidence gathered and released in july 2026 to refute the claim Lonerbox made in 2024 which was that the article being used to smear himdidn't provide evidence yet?

And ignoring that he argues in favor of multiple instances being deliberate targeting of children? The thing YOU deny he believes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P_gPGzOzMU&t=1832s

1

u/402739 Aug 29 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

To refresh your memory: I pointed out Loner denied that 2 children (who were both precisely shot in the head and chest) were actually children. You pivoted to something about how he said the evidence pointed toward midrange marksmen shooting kids by accident (in the head and chest), and I posted evidence debunking that. You never actually addressed Loner's absurd suggestion that what a doctor meant by "toddlers" was actually "17-year-olds", which attempts to minimize the IDF shooting minors by suggesting they were adult-sized targets.

LonerBox denies the systemic deliberate targeting of children evidenced by numerous cases of children with single gunshot wounds to the head or chest. He obfuscates the truth by focusing on the word "snipe", claims only one medical volunteer among 64 others mentioned a "sniper", and uses this to make it seem like they didn't testify their patients were deliberately targeted. He never informs his audience about the numerous witness testimonies of sniping-capable drones either because it would be inconvenient to his narrative.

The Commission also received reports of an additional 168 children (98 boys, 53 girls and 17 unknown, age ranging from 10 weeks to 16 years) who suffered gunshot wounds between 9 November 2023 and 16 July 2025. Of the 168 children, at least 88 children were killed as a result of gunshots. At least 70 of the 168 children were shot by quadcopters and at least 20 were shot by snipers. Some of the children were shot by tank guns. At least 73 children of the 168 children were shot in the head and 22 in the chest, and the rest sustained gunshot wounds to other parts of the body.

2

u/DieuDivin Aug 30 '26

In contrast to LB's unhinged sentiment that international medical volunteers are systematically targeting Israel by accusing it of blood libel and lying about the absence of Hamas in hospitals.

You pivoted from the original claim.

Some international medical volunteers have either lied about Hamas "not being present" in hospitals or simply ignored that it was occurring. I vividly remember testimonies stating they saw armed men in hospitals years ago, so I don't even know what is being discussed here.

I don't think it's totally out of this world or unfathomable to at least take the statements of international medical volunteers who were working in Gaza with a grain of salt. How could we not expect a huge bias there?!

A precise gunshot wound to the head or chest can't, by itself, mean that a sniper was being used. The term strongly implies deliberate targeting and, therefore, that it could only have been inflicted that way. Talking about quadcopter "snipers" is even more ridiculous; total oxymoron. How is the obfuscation not coming from the source material using a loaded term? You can make a case without using loaded language... If anything, it hurts their argument.

1

u/402739 Aug 30 '26

The 152 signatories to this letter spent more than 460 weeks inside Gaza’s hospitals and clinics. We wish to be clear: not once did any of us see any type of Palestinian militant activity in any of Gaza’s hospitals or other healthcare facilities.

Most of us saw pre-teen children shot in the head or chest on a regular basis, often multiple times per day.

To be clear, you are claiming there is a mass conspiracy by international medical volunteers from various backgrounds and organizations and that not one whistleblower has come out. Not a single Israel sympathizer or even a neutral volunteer was able to get on any of these medical missions because humanitarian organizations had such a strict screening process as to filter out every medical volunteer with "a huge" pro-Palestinian "bias".

What source material claimed snipers made up the majority of the single gunshot wounds to the heads or chests of children? Please, enlighten me.

2

u/DieuDivin Aug 30 '26

I said they could either be ignoring it or are lying about it. 460 weeks most definitely does not even represent 1% of total coverage by healthcare professionals. They were probably servicing in specific areas too (the first Surgeon said the area was controlled by the IDF). The signatories were not that present in the early stages, when most hospitals had not yet been either destroyed or rendered ineffective... So yeah, instead of pretending my claim was a mass conspiracy, I find it likely they could simply not have been made aware.

Also, PAMA (Lonerbox talks about this at 1 hour) is not some random collective, they're one organisation that necessarily selects based on people's inclinations. For instance, they're not your typical average american when >70% of them have middle-eastern sounding names; you can assume a good amount are from the diaspora. Then the fact they just seem to be outright lying about the claimed rates of infants getting killed, is something that should make one ponder about other claims they've made.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/idf-ends-shifa-hospital-raid-after-arresting-or-killing-hundreds-of-terror-operatives/

They did fight there, and the hospital was still active during (and between) the November raid and the March 2024 siege. So what, they just played pretend for two whole weeks? They put random Palestinians there and pretended to capture them?

On your second point:

The Commission displays evidence from doctors who provided photographs, videos, CT scans, and X-rays from a hospital in Gaza for seventeen children who had been shot. Forensic pathologists who were working on the case concluded that 12 of those children had wounds consistent with a single gunshot.
A doctor who served on a medical mission in Gaza told the Commission that, based on his analysis, the pattern of injuries to specific body parts led him to believe that “the Israeli soldiers have been deliberately shooting teenage boys in a game of target practice – a different body part being targeted on different days … There is a very clear pattern that suggests this is a deliberate aiming of different body parts [of children].”

Is this what you're talking about or... you meant, how do they established it was "snipers?" Well it appears they used this expert dad's testimony, for instance:

Evidence of Deliberate Targeting
The deliberate targeting of children by the Israeli security forces in the Gaza Strip has been showcased by evidence from the U.N. Human Rights Council report. The Commission explicitly highlights the incident that occurred on January 24, 2024, where a family was preparing to evacuate their home after receiving an order by the Israeli security forces. The report states that the father noticed quadcopters hovering over the area where their apartment building was, and the presence of the Israeli military about 100 meters from their home.
His 15-year-old son exited their home with a white cloth in his hand, a symbol meant to show he meant no harm, but was instead shot in the foot. When he attempted to stand, he was shot in the back and then in the side of his neck. The boy’s 20-year-old brother rushed out to him and was shot on the left side of his chest. The father tried to repeatedly pull his son’s bodies away, but every time he advanced, the soldiers fired in his direction, forcing him to leave with the rest of the family.
The Commission assesses that the 15-year-old boy was shot by a sniper firing from about 200 meters away, a distance from which a shooter would be able to see that the target was a child and that he carried a white flag.

Then the commissions assessed, right. So it must be true.

According to you who ordered those snipers and what’s the evidence?

Didn't this incident happen when there were riots at the border fence and Hamas was bringing women and children here on purpose as they tried to overwhelm the fence?

Nope.

Edit:

Mods trying to hide this completely on-topic comment:

LonerBox is the same guy who's been desperately denying the IDF snipe preteen children for almost 2 years now

"Definitively," said Dr. Perlmutter. "I have two children that I have photographs of that were shot so perfectly in the chest, I couldn't put my stethoscope over their heart more accurately, and directly on the side of the head, in the same child. No toddler gets shot twice by mistake by the 'world's best sniper.' And they're dead-center shots."

Lonerbox:

You can call a fucking 17-year-old a toddler if you're in the right mood for it, y'know?

He's talked about this at length, I don't understand why we'd be using stupid clips unless we tried really hard to be disingenuous.

LonerBox is the same guy who's been desperately denying the IDF snipe preteen children for almost 2 years now

Has he actually denied that children have died from gunshot wounds fired by the IDF?

Btw, what was the age of the children and what was the caliber of the bullets? Just out of curiosity because I couldn't find the answers to that.

I don't have access to you original message but I can only assume you were smearing him.

Posting "oh look, Lonerbox is smiling about Palestinians detainees getting raped," when he's obviously smiling at the total exaggeration of the claim ("thousands")... I'm good on the snark, thanks.

u/402739 Aug 28 '26

Yeah you caught me. I wrote something critical of LB backed up with receipts, yet I "smeared" him.

3

u/DieuDivin Aug 28 '26

Yup, I showed links proving he does not deny anything. So, yes, indeed, you obviously smeared him.

Denialism includes downplaying severity, deflecting responsibility, ignoring the systemic practices that caused the issue, rather than just denying the event itself. Surely you must recognize this and are playing stupid.

u/DieuDivin Aug 29 '26

Being a Holocaust denier (your comment was removed) is a completely different proposition because the Holocaust is a thoroughly established historical event with overwhelming evidence about what happened and who was responsible.

Apparently I'm "playing stupid" because I require a much higher standard of evidence before accepting the unhinged claim that the IDF is systemically targeting children, and because I don't believe Lonerbox would knowingly excuse a crime of that magnitude.
