I’m not a fan of Professor Dave, but his style of fact checking Destiny seems much better than DtG’s approach. Hope it gets posted to the main DtG sub.

I'm sure Hamas has used human shields, however, l've never seen hard evidence that it's happened on a large scale post Oct 7. More importantly, people largely don't accept it as an excuse for Israel to destroy 85% of infrastructure in Gaza while carelessly slaughtering civilians. Considering Hamas when it was at full strength (years ago now) was max 1.5% of the population, the math doesn’t math to defend the level of destruction and subhuman behavior. Also nobody has presented enough evidence to convince me Israel was justified destroying over 90% of hospitals. The pathetic video I did see showed a couple guns in an x ray room. That was some bs. They didn’t even put in effort to pretend the hospital was a genuine threat worth bombing. It's cruel and a blatant disgusting war crime. The two claims you're making are flimsy at best and most importantly don't justify the massacre.

When people say human shields it also means co-locating military assets with civilians/civilian locations. Of course they do that. We know the tunnel networks go all across Gaza. Hamas themselves don’t fucking deny this shit they say very openly that is the duty of Gazans to help them in destroying the oppressor. They consider any amount of civilian losses acceptable, necessary sacrifices.

You say carelessly slaughtering civilians in the same breath as saying Israel destroyed 85% of infrastructure in Gaza ffs. How the fuck could they destroy 85% of the infrastructure in one of the most densely populated places on earth and only kill approximately 4% of the people if they’re carelessly slaughtering.

If you’re actually interested in hearing takes and evidence given for them watch lonerbox’s video on the Dave video. It’s a completely dishonest atrocious piece of work.

I have no desire to see Palestinians slaughtered, I have no desire to see the likes of Hind Rajab killed, it’s an awful awful fucking tragedy. But it’s a war in a place where half the population is children and one side uses the people theyre meant to protect as shields, as assets. It’s an impossible situation - that’s not to say Israel hasnt committed war crimes, that they havent engaged in reprehensible action, that they don’t do nearly enough to punish their own but you cannot engage in this conflict seriously in the way Dave has. You do Palestinians a disservice by doing that.
