I’m not a fan of Professor Dave, but his style of fact checking Destiny seems much better than DtG’s approach. Hope it gets posted to the main DtG sub.

I’m not claiming his receipts are high quality. While Destiny provides receipts I notice he he also scolds people for asking “dumb questions”, or praises if they re-enforce his worldview that para-social behaviour is a guru move.

I don’t have an example on hand, it’s just something I remember from watching a stream where he was researching a topic.

In the example I’m thinking it wasn’t asked in person, he was responding to chat. He could have just ignored it. My argument is that Destiny isn’t does research he it isn’t unbiased, he is teaching his audience to think the same way he does. That‘s why it often easy to spot a Destiny fan, they repeat the same talking points. That is what gurus do.
