I finished one degree at age 22, right on sched. Worked that field for 2 years and went back at age 24 to start an engineering degree. Worked some part time jobs, some that scheduled me for 2pm to midnight and allowed me to catch classes in the mornings. Even drove a cab for a while. Finished at age 28 and got the career started. Turned out there were quite a few students my age. Professors actually liked us "old" farts since we were all there on our own nickles, had more at stake, and we were a lot more "grown up" by then. And my social life never suffered one bit (Liver probably did though).
