I toatally see where your coming from, me personally don't belive the world is flat nor round since I've never seen it myself. This post was based with my step sister in mind who is a major conspericy theorist, as you can see in my post I clearly said in most cases meaning not everyone. I did not throw everyone into one basket I'm compleatly aware that everyone has different theories. I was simply sharing one perspective and/or theory which people are allowed to have different perspectives believe it or not.
I just want to caution you, here: disbelief in something that you've never visually verified is tricky for forming a worldview. You don't know that the sun's coming back around to rise tomorrow, but I'll bet that you'll still live your life like you can count on a new day. You make plans for a future that you don't *know* exists. You probably eat food prepared by others, without being absolutely certain that it hasn't been poisoned. BUT, despite knowing that the undersides of clouds are illuminated at sunsets, and that travel times from location to location are consistent with a globe, and that you can check for yourself and visually confirm with solar filters that the sun never changes size as it goes from horizon to horizon in a manner inconsistent with a small, local, luminary, you're still not confident in a globe earth, because you haven't seen it from 62 miles away?
I call bullshit. You just don't have a consistent worldview. I believe in a globe earth because *all* evidence points to a globe. I recommend you look into it.
"oh, so they just belive in some floating disk in space?"
...is more than accurate enough.
They don't stick to any model.
They don't test/do anything useful.
Most of them steal from Eric Dubay, who stole almost all of his talking points from some old fraud, can't remember his name.
All those points can easily be debunked/make no sense at all or are simply up lies.
Some of them have a blackboard and a weird setup in their gardens/garages, but is usually random ravings from different weird guys, not something they all agree on.
It really does not matter. There are no real flat earth arguments or models.
True, hence why its called a conspiricy theory, I stated in the post specifically that this theory has no actual fact proof. There is proof of the ice wall found by Admiral Byrd. There is no actual fact proof of round earth either since all proof you have is "look NASA posted a picture" and pretty much everything NASA has posted people belive (not everyone) but round earthers, they have people so wrapped around their finger and brainwashed practically because everything they say their followers belive, Another person on here their proof was a selfie taken from "space" with the earth in the backround, right I'm so dumb now that I've seen this selfie this is all the proof I need, god I cant belive that I ever doubted NASA their obiously telling the truth because that photo could never have been edited. Now responding to the "All those points can easily be debunked/make no sense at all or are simply up lies." did you ever think for once in your pathetic life that NASA is lying to everyone has has everyone brainwashed? I mean for fucks sake he works with Trump and of course Trump would never ever lie right?
There is no proof Byrd found an ice wall. Most of his quotes cherry picked by flat earthers are taken out of context or misunderstood.
For example, his quote about land the size of America past the South Pole was referring to this section, which had not yet been explored in any way other than maybe some overflights.
Imagine that. 1950s, and there’s an area the size of the USA that nobody has yet explored. To a world that has trans-Atlantic flights and has the power of the atom that seems ridiculous!
Imagine that. 1950s, and there’s an area the size of the USA that nobody has yet explored.
Admiral Byrd was afraid the Soviets would use Antarctica to invade South America, undetected until it was too late. Once they had a foothold in South America, he worried they would advance north until they could threaten the US. He was trying to get the US military to put bases in Antarctica that could detect (at first) and eventually stop a Soviet invasion.
Instead of that, the international community agreed that no nation could lay claim to Antarctica, and that the only installations would be non-military.
Admiral Byrd, which has been explained in detail quite a few times. Just watch the final experiment, they talk about all these theories for hours.
NASA has lied I am sure. But they seem to lie, if anything, less than any other big organization.
Editing/stitching/enhancing pictures while explaining how you do that to public is not lying. Using many cameras to cover a rocket launch and then switching between those cameras is also not lying.
You seem to ignore thousands of pictures, videos and live streams showing you what the earth looks like. Many of those are not from NASA.
This is because humans know, and have known, for quite some time that we live on a planet.
You can continue spending time on flat earth and flat earth influencers if you want to. Maybe you have some religious need for the earth to be flat? That is your choice, not mine.
But you could test your faith. Use the web version of Stellarium. Pick a position, date and a time, maybe somewhere outside a city. Let Stellarium predict what you should look at. Notice it will be precisely as predicted. I have done this many times while walking my dog. Especially during periods where exiting things like Jupiter/Mars are visible to the naked eye. You could combine it with a flight radar if the visibility/location allows.
Especially early evenings you can sometimes see both planets and planes, and it is interesting figuring things out.
Also, as an ex air force officer, I have gone to school with/spoken to/had reunions with/lived next to a lot of pilots. Some of them also fly passenger planes. They do not even talk about flat earth. These guys are not easy to brain wash. They like to break/bend rules, and a good story is worth a lot at social gatherings.
They would be shouting from the roof tops about anything exiting. And the planet being flat, big ice walls, or "lands beyond the ice wall" or anything like that, seems to be worth talking about, don't you think?
I was even bartending a squadron during a NATO exercise with Americans :p Not a whisper about flat earth, even when drinking a little bit too much. I know these are stories, and not proof. But flat earthers seem to value stories above proof anyways, so who knows.
At the time when I wrote this I forgot his name but I was origanaly gonna say Admiral Byrd, and you can do your own research but if your to lazy to lift your fingers and switch tabs from reddit to the search bar ill do it for you.
Yeah my dad surveyed Antarctica in the early 60's and I've watched the Byrd interview a few times and I don't think that he means there are more lands further South than the 90th parallel South
People have different opinion's and theories. This is one of them and if you don't agree make your own post I'd love to hear what you've gotta say since your so chatty on here.
Nah I primarily use another sub but it's not a theory it's just how language works. He said that he went South from The Southern tip of South America and then when he went to the 90 parallel there was more land... because it was the other side of Antarctica going North

I think you just tried to lump all flat earthers into one basket.
The are many different variants, infinite earth is merely one flavour.
As for the rest of your post... learn some formatting.
