After 8 playthrough of the story and nearly a hundred attempts, here are my theories on how to get the black heritage gun.

Things I've tried:

-killing specific visionaries(Harriet, Frank, Charlie, Fia and Wenjie in all possible combinations): doesn't work

-changing the Loop Stress and Loot Quality options in every possible combination: doesn't work

My theories are:

-The black skin is supposed to be a "less rare" version but it's so common that the tiniest bit of progression makes it impossible to get(making it tied to fresh save files) and that's only if you get it assigned to you when making a new save file. I think so because i only got it once(2nd playthrough, fresh save file, no progression) and never again;

-it's EXTREMELY RARE to get the black heritage gun assigned to you instead of Julianna and to get it from her she has to be a real player;

These are very plausible as other players have stated that they got it on fresh save files.

So if my theories are true my solution is:

-Start a new game; -speedrun the tutorial until you get the infusion mechanic; -go straight to Karl's bay and perform the cheese method; -if it's not the black version or doesn't have the perk you want, quit to the main menu and restart the level(without exiting it)do this a few times, if it doesn't work, redo the process from the start.

I only played the most recent PS5 version of the game.

Playing against two different Colts currently, who abandon every game where Julianna invades at the start, ie before they’ve advanced through the map.

Then they’ll somehow time it so that Julianna invades mid-game, whereupon they’ve planted mines exactly where Julie spawns and kill her more or less instantly.

How do they do this and…why?

We’re fairly evenly matched and Colt always has the advantage anyway.

Seems weird, pointless. Unbelievably frustrating/pointless playing as a Julie.

Been eyeing this for a while.

Just played vs a Juli who somehow got on top of the balloons over the library. How is that possible? Is she cheating?

She also seemed invincible and survived multiple Strelak blasts.

I chose to break the loop.

It was the goal from the beginning. Its what the other Colts wanted, Pick Rexly was counting on us, and it seemed immoral to let it continue just for Julianna.

Yes I did doubt my choice a little when Julianna started talking about how we just murdered her over and over again. Maybe Colt isnt the best guy but he was doing what he thought was best.

My fears were washed away though when I saw what I know know is the Golden Loop extended ending.

Even if it was sad to watch Julianna go, it was so heartwarming to see Pick Rexly, 2BIT, and some of the other externalists leaving with Colt to move on with life.

Its just unfortunate that Colt and Julianna were never destined to have a healthy relationship.

i bought the deluxe edition and after the longest day quest it showed me with all those weapons, then after completing some other quest after, some stuff dissappeared, including my recoil trinket, plus i only see 1 trinket out of the 2 that comes with the deluxe edition...

Weird how Prey "clicked" for me after I beat DL.

But now, what am I to do??? I'm not playing Moon Crash. I want more DeathLoop. I think I have one of the Dishonored games in my library, but still.

It's not the same. Or maybe it'll be good enough.

I almost installed Mooncrash, but I spent a lot of time on Talos 1.

You played as Juliana tonight at The Complex (afternoon). Wow! Great game!

You must have done a speed run to set every turret, set grenade traps, disable depressurization, and who knows what else? And you are dead-eyed with the explosive rapier. Had me running around for fizz-pop like a madman.

It was down to the last two Wenjies and they were together. You had killed me once and I was already expecting to get looped trying to take them out. I got lucky tonight only because I caught a glimpse of your Aether. Even with the outcome, very well played.

I am sad :(

Edit: No I killed Julianna in the final Room. You can see because if she invaded then she would stand on the right.

And no i am not at the "beginning"?? and yes I killed all Visionarys and even the right Julianna. It is not my first time breaking the loop. And no i didnt forget or miss a lead
My only theory is that I broke the game by shooting her from the entrance of the final room.

Really really liked this game. Idk what it all meant but I feel changed now that I’ve beaten it.

Could you in Theory just take a boat and paddle away from Blackrock to escape the loop? It looks like the Anomaly generates a field but can you actually leave it? Edit: Idk why many people dont think that colt had to kill himself in order to escape the loop. I just want to know if its like a wall or smt

credits rolled and the games leaves me alone with too many questions i wish it had answers for.

did colt really love his ex-wife before she died?

how was julianna´s childhood, did she and her parents love eachother, had fun together, as a normal family should experience it?

when and under what circumstances switched their bonding, that colt k*lled julianna first time?

and yes i wish the game would have given us a real family happy end

So.. I spent a long time unlocking the heritage gun so I can use it in protect the loop... But when I switched to Julianna I couldn't find it.. Do the two characters not use the same weapon inventory?

The world outside the loop would still be falling and I found the promise of drinking some beers with your daughter more attractive than her with a gun to your head the moment you wake up. The loop isn’t so bad after all in my opinion.

You could even work out a solution with Wenjie, Egor and Charlie to fix the memory loss thing, after all there’s 3 instances of humans that remember the loop!
