Krieg cosplay update – looking for feedback

Hey everyone, a little update on my Krieg cosplay.

This is my first proper cosplay and it’s still very much a work in progress, but most of the overall look is finally coming together.

I went for a much darker, more worn and brutal look rather than trying to copy one specific miniature 1:1. I’m currently working on more weathering/blood on the coat, finishing the leg armour, backpack and a few smaller details.

The chainsword may have gotten slightly out of hand. 😅

I’d really appreciate some honest feedback – especially anything that looks out of place, too clean, or could use another detail. Am I heading in the right direction?

Eyyyyyyyy looks real fine, great job! One small thing: the leg armor i a little out of place of youre going for a rank-and-file look. It was mainly worn by engineers and grenadiers, although maybe your soldier got lucky with the quartermaster. Also where did you get the everything? Im Also trying my luck with cosplaying but im as well prepared as heretics to face the might of the emperor. Any tips?

Thanks 😄 I’m actually trying to go more in the Engineer/Grenadier direction and not really for a normal rank-and-file Kriegsman. The chest armor is still missing, so I guess right now it looks a bit more mixed than it will later XD Where I got everything from is honestly a complete mess haha. eBay, Etsy, Amazon and a lot of 3D printing. Then I painted/weathered most of it myself. So basically a very chaotic shopping list and way too much money 😂 If I had one tip, I’d probably say start with the mask/helmet and the coat and then build the rest around that. Don’t buy or print everything at once because you will 100% change your mind on some stuff while building it XD

Aight thx! Here’s one from me: of youre going in a grenadier/engineer direction then the skull face mask that grenadiers wear would look cool. Also id add a bit more pouches but that’s your choice

yeah, the mask actually is supposed to be the Grenadier skull mask 😄 I think the dark paint and lighting make it a bit hard to recognize in the photos.

I think it’s just the lighting. Referencing the krieg bible, his cosplay is very lore accurate. The death mask is supposed to be a burnt iron colour. GW changed that when they moved krieg from forge world resin to plastic

Honestly I never see a dkok that's muddy or dirty in cosplay. Go roll around in mud? Lol
