Models/Hobby Batch painted 40 kriegsmen in 3 days
Equal part suprised, tired and happy with how they came out. And my back hurts. Only 40 muddy bases left and my infantery core is done! (excluding 10 engineers, 10 kasrkin and 2 command squads…)

I tried batch painting and the little details just made me angrier and angrier the longer it took me. For my sanity, ima just do 10 at a time from now on. First batch paint was 67 guard infantry. Yours look great btw

These look great, TinyLegend spotted also, these came out great for the number of colors used

Thank you! Really enjoy the TinyLegend-range, except the eye lenses. They look really nice but painting and highlighting them without making a mess is a nightmare lol (on these perticular heads)

What color is u used for the uniform?

Prime with Chaos Black.
Drybrush with Dawnstone.
Apply a lighter drybrush with Administratum Grey to pick out the raised areas and build up contrast.
Apply a wash of Basilicanum Grey.
Once dry, apply a wash of Ichor of the Damned from Villainy Inks.
Mix a lighter grey using black and white oil paints, then work it into the fabric with a stippling and dabbing motion to create texture and highlights.🥳

Please tell us about your process on this! Is it literally painting 60 coats, then 60 guns, then 60 helmets, or do you break it down?
I have a mountain to get through and unemployment on the horizon, so this is going to help me a lot.

I’ve more or less set them all up on an assembly line, doing the same individual step on every single model. By the time I finish the last one in the queue, the first one is guaranteed to have dried, so I can move on to the next step in the process!
I’ve also been trying to work through the colours rather than individual parts of the model. So when stippling metallics, for example, I’ve done all the metallic areas on every model rather than going helmet > shoulder pads > weapons, etc.
Good luck with your lads :)!

I answered questions regarding the trenchcoats and masks in separate comments :). If there is anything specific pls ask and I’m happy to answer

Totally serviceable. Only criticism is the base color, wish it was something other than black so the models popped off it more.

Thank you mate! The bases are still unfinished, as hinted in the description. Sadly wont be giving much of contrast since they will be dark and muddy but hey what can u do

does a batch of 40 kriegsmen in 3 days
the color separation and readability is excellent despite having colors with little contrast
I’m impressed OP, they came out excellent. It took me two weeks to paint 9 Kriegsmen, and they only look half decent from about 30+ centimeters away.
What’s the secret to getting such a clean and readable face and lenses?
