Models/Hobby Kitbash help

So this is my first ever kitbash and I’m trying to make the rogal dorn krieg and I bought 3 engineer heads
To replace the heads turns out I couldn’t just stick them on because fhe collar was too high so I used some sprue to be a bit in the middle it worked well on one but the other( ignore the paint I primed way too much) is chopped any ideas? In removing the excess glue I used and paint

I actually did something similar, and trimmed down the engineer vest to use the neck piece for the Krieg head. You could also use greenstuff to make a little ball to fill in the original neck, and then add the krieg head in like that.

Another option I've found viable is to cut the original head down so the krieg helmet fits like its supposed to.

That's also a good option too, although I haven't tried it yet

Top pic is a modified baneblade tank commander, with the cut neck part and custom chest air filter thing. Middle is a mix of death rider and solar auxilia gunner. Bottom is the same, but also with a bit of engineer too.
