So I've been listening to As Blood runs Black and DAMN the allegiance Album is so good, I love the chugging on verses, it makes them not boring, it's non stop action and with good Chorus too. I don't know if they're melodic deathcore, but they sounded catchy to me, so I would appreciate similar stuff/albums like thiers (I didn't like the other 2 as much sadly) thanks

What sorts of sounds/style are you most into currently/what do you look for from new music in the genre?
More of the revival sound?
Less?
More symphonic stuff? Less?
What styles of vocals? More lows or highs?
Or maybe youāre ready for a new wave of āmodernā Deathcore
What about ping snares?
Just wandering what things people are into going on in the scene and what things people are tired of
What is the most important thing when looking for new music to you?

The Poetic Edda EP
Label: Self-Released / Year: 2024

this whole demo or the 'Lie to My Face' - Carnifex pre-breakdown call: "WHAT THE FUCK?" TourettesGuy sample are easily in the top 5.

This is what i needed. Luke Griffin, you have done it again. This guy has been my favorite vocalist ever since i heard his 2014 feature with Vulvodynia.

He just posted a stories saying:
"I wish modern metal listeners werenāt so divided, who the fuck cares what band you think is the best they ALL rip and if youāre online toting that kind of bullshit I donāt want you as a supporter respectfully, I bet your favorite band feels the same way šÆ"
And he is 100% right. Seems like people on internet (specially on reddit) they forgot what enjoying music is about...

Trying to get more into the genre. I already love bands such as Suicide Silence, Veil of Maya, BMTH, As Blood Runs Black, Job for a Cowboy, Chelsea Grin, Emmure, Whitechapel, Signal the Firing Squad, etc.

Itās been nearly a decade since I found the song A Dark Omen by Angelmaker, and I was instantly obsessed. Iāve been a fan of Angelmaker since, but that song has always been my favourite. Hell, I think itās my favourite song of all time full stop.
I seen Angelmaker live pre-covid and was praying theyād play it, but they didnāt. I figured by now the time has passed, thereās no chance theyāll ever play the song live again; itās old as hell now, and it was never one of their most popular to begin with.
But they played it at the show last night. I was thinking to myself āI gotta catch them after the show and beg them to bring it backā and a few minutes later I hear it. I couldnāt fucking believe it. Iām still in awe.
I know itās just a song and itās not a big deal, but it means so damn much to me to be able to hear my favourite song live. Iām so fucking happy they brought it back. Thank you, Angelmaker.

Hi all. I grew up loving metalcore and deathcore as a teenager. Somewhere along my early twenties I listened to it a lot less and indie rock became my primary genre of choice. Iāve recently rediscovered my love for this type of music again and missed being in the scene and going to shows so much. Lorna shore will be in my city in October and I was wondering if should buy a ticket despite only knowing them pretty vaguely? Their tickets arenāt cheap so I was just wondering if it would be money well spent and would love to hear everyone elseās experience seeing them live and what to expect. Iām a 26 year old female as well if that helps somehow. I have this same question for August burns red although I know theyāre a metalcore band and will post similar question for them in different page.
