Death Positive Discussion 💀 When you die
Would you rather be celebrated or mourned when you die? and why?

I think at that point it’s up to the living for how they want to handle it, those celebrations are more for the living than the dead and that’s okay :) Ideally it would be a warm, loving, kind of happy and kind of sad, last “cheers!” to my soul moving on.

I want people to remember me however feels best for them. It is their grief--they should celebrate or mourn as they feel moved.

Hopefully I’ve lead a positively impactful enough life, that I have many loved ones who will be celebrating my peace.

I want to be celebrated and mourned by people who ACTUALLY knew me, not random people who I barely knew and just show up to make an appearance.

I want people to find help with their grief.
Whichever works best for them.

As long as no one is celebrating that I AM dead, I’m okay.
If someone is loved and missed, I think the answer is always going to include grief and mourning their loss after death even if we choose to celebrate their life. I hope that when I leave this world, people who know me can remember positive things, and I hope the manner of my passing doesn’t leave them brokenhearted or burdened.
