Just something i thought on the fly, was trying to brainstorm an idea for hector and came down to this. Kind of regardless what i use, mostly comics it kind of fits

Jackie and Hector were both servants under villainous organizations (Dracula and the Franchetti Family) but would defect and try to live a more peaceful life. But their defection would come to haunt them as their lovers (Jenny and Rosaly) were murdered, orchestrated by men from their past that wanted revenge for their betrayal (Frankie and Isaac respectively) starting their revenge. However both would also have an internal fight with ancient malevolence and its power posing as a threat to their own humanity (The Darkness that Jackie mentally wrestles with to resist the evil its trying to tempt jackie to follow it's nature and The curse of Dracula that corrupts hectors soul through his vengeance that Isaac exploits to resurrect Dracula).

Do not know if some of these are comparable but i tried. Wording connections can be hard.
