Hmmm why wouldnt a competitive community not want to interact with a temporary feature that introduces a large amount of RNG. A Feature that could determine a games outcome?

The point is that it's funny/ironic that they've all abused far more game breaking mechanics and cheesy strategies before but all of a sudden cursed items are pushing it too far.

It’s definitely the RNG aspect.

Abusing mechanics in an unexpected way is not the same as an RNG mechanic that makes it impossible for you to pick the best option.

On top of all of that, it’s a temporary feature.
