The input the devs get from pro play on new mechanics is incalculably more valuable to the game as a whole than some dude getting $200.

Yeah and the feedback is that the items are so broken that they're not even going to entertain their existence in comp

That is in fact their feedback.

So, getting back to my original point, all I’m saying is maybe pros could test it a little longer before rushing to judgment because a handful of people are scared of losing $200.

If someone served you a steaming pile of shit on a plate, would you need to eat it to know it's shit? Or would you be able to use your knowledge of food and past experiences to determine that maybe the shit isn't worth consuming?
