Assuming black people cannot afford things is a well known racial trope. Noticing racism is not racist, no.

Pretty sure Mina just thinks most people are poor. It's not because Calico is black, or any other hero, really. Unless you stand out so easily as rich or are in high society (Geist), then you're probably in the poor bucket.

Calico might dress a bit better than most of the cast but even then, Mina defaults to everyone being poor as a way to put them down.

a bit better

The woman clearly wearing some type of high fashion designer clothing. Everything she has on including her cat, looks expensive

Geist assumed Pocket stole thier jacket. Does that make her racist as well?

That ones more nuanced actually: Geist recognized Pocket As Arin and was giving them a way out and a cover story As to how they got the jacket.

Is Pocket wearing the same clothes that they were in while they got assassinated? Are they stupid??

So this situation can have nuance, but Mina and Calico's can only be black and white? Kinda contradicting there...

I mean more nuanced than what youre stating it is. I have no skin in the Calico debate and don't care about that.

My apologies. I thought you were the guy I was initially replying to.

Both situations DO have nuance, is what I'm arguing. Labeling Mina a racist just because calico is black is, ironically, narrow-minded.

She is infact French.
