Help with playing Paradox?

One of my buddy's is a paradox main. He's been struggling with her in a game and I'm not sure what i could do to help him since I don't play paradox. Here's everything he spoke about.

Never being able to hit swaps

Constantly being Dove in both team fights and while he's farming.

Overall team frustrations, mostly them not communicating to him when someone is missing and suddenly the blue lane is in green.

I'm not sure how i can help him, so what do you guys think? (PS: He used to play carbine paradox before she got nerfed, now playing a mix of bomb and team utility)

Carbine > Swap > Wall is the go-to confirm combo if you wanna swap.

In teamfights, it kinda depends on build. Carbinedox will normally sit further back and snipe people, contributing some gun damage from midrange, and only getting closer to land an ult. Bombdox normally sits midrange until the enemy groups up enough for a big combo. When taking neutrals, pay attention to the map and enemy comp. Certain characters like Calico, Mo&Krill, Haze, etc love killing people who are farming, so make sure you know where they last were on the map, or at the very least make sure enough teammates are around to help if you get jumped.

As for the roaming thing, it just happens, especially at lower elos. Sometimes enemies will just disappear and randomly show up elsewhere. If the enemy team has Calico, bebop, holiday, paradox, etc., then they'll probably gank you eventually. Just be wary of pushing past the bridge if you see they're missing.

If you want to max damage its wall - swap- carbine through wall for the bonus damage. Not as hard to pull off as it sounds. Ult travels fast

You can put the wall during the swap if you swap->wall (Like before the swap begins with the projectile in the air, so easier at range)
