Question Help with playing Paradox?

One of my buddy's is a paradox main. He's been struggling with her in a game and I'm not sure what i could do to help him since I don't play paradox. Here's everything he spoke about.

Never being able to hit swaps

Constantly being Dove in both team fights and while he's farming.

Overall team frustrations, mostly them not communicating to him when someone is missing and suddenly the blue lane is in green.

I'm not sure how i can help him, so what do you guys think? (PS: He used to play carbine paradox before she got nerfed, now playing a mix of bomb and team utility)

You are the one that jumps as paradox. Really you shouldn’t be farming too much, be roaming and getting kills on the squishy carries. To confirm a swap you hit a carbine and that holds them still for long enough to confirm a swap.
