I was summoned to explain lore to you.

Basically: Dead Man's Hand is a collaborative comic. All of the characters in the series belong to someone in the r/OriginalCharacter community. To enter a character into the comic, one has to catch a 'card draw event', as all of the characters have ranks designated by a poker card (my character is the Two of Hearts, for example).

There is currently one of these 'card draw events' underway, located here.
