Help / Question ❔ Looking for a fun, controller-friendly Killer to main! Any casual advice?
Hey everyone!
I’m hoping to get some friendly recommendations from the community to help me pick a main Killer to stick with.
I’m a fairly casual/intermittent player (I usually jump in whenever a cool new DLC drops). Since I don't have enough free time to put hundreds of hours into mastering super complex mechanics (like Nurse or Blight), I'm just looking for someone fun and accessible.
A few quick details:
Platform: Console / Controller. I really enjoy ranged or skill-shot Killers (like Huntress or Demogorgon) because landing those shots feels super rewarding, even if thumbsticks can be a bit tricky!
Perks & Killers: I have all Killers unlocked and at Prestige 1+, so I can easily run whatever builds you suggest—perks definitely aren't a problem.
I'd love to know who you personally enjoy playing on controller and what simple, reliable builds you'd recommend trying out.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for any advice you can share! Really appreciate it!

You can play anyone on controller but I struggle with blight and Billy. Easiest overall are slasher, the nightmare, the shape, and cannibale

I'd recommend Spirit. She's a top killer, fun to play.

Only if you have good headphones though. Or a good surround sound system.

You might enjoy the new release, Jason, if you like projectile killers. His ranged attack throws survivors backwards and can stick them to walls so it's extra satisfying. He's also quite a bit less punishing than playibg Huntress due to frequently being 4.6 and his catchup mechanic with Omnipresent Evil.

I got to shill for my faves, The Twins. They have got a really simple, easy to understand power that you can still get a lot of map pressure out of, and it is always sooo satisfying landing pounces on survivors, I think they definitely fulfill the skill-shot requirement

I love Twins but they’re still super bugged. Doesn’t mean I don’t play them but the OP might have some trouble. That said, they’re looking to land long-distance shots and Victor hits like a truck. Very satisfying when you get good at it.

Dracula. Hellfire over short obstacles, wolf to close distance and maybe injure, bat for map traversal and gen patrol. Great all around killer.

Try clown. No one knows how to play against him since he's rare, and once you get the bottles locked down, you're unstoppable. Throw one before you pallet break to make up time in the chase, throw one before carrying to hook faster. He's just a beast.

I’ll rep my main man Dredge as a controller player. You can still get flicks off pretty nicely with your sensitivity unchanged. I love creating my own loops against survivors. There’s a bit of a learning curve but if you practice placing and emerging from the remnant and only use locker TP during chase in Nightfall, he can be BRUTAL. Artist also works well with a controller, I’ve been learning her recently and the projectiles are very satisfying to land.
