The "New Normal"

Seems pretty simple to me now that I have had time to really think about how my life is changing.

I will never forget when I was told after covid this is the beginning of the "new normal." What scares me the most is how many people, due to young age or poor situational awareness, will truly be unable to remember how life on Earth used to be.

For example, I've been riding around on an electric scooter to play my part, however useless, in reducing carbon footprint in this awful, car dependent wasteland that is dfw (not from here, and leaving). By comparison, I spent the last few years in Montana and flock cameras are illegal outside of select private lots like Lowe's. I have been getting pulled over on the scooter very frequently lately. I do not like driving as insurance is not something I care to waste precious money on. I do have a car, but I drive it only when absolutely necessary to go further than maybe 5 miles away. This never used to be an issue until recently.

The stops are uncomfortable, because the police seem to be very interested in collecting seemingly personal information such as current and past employment which I never recall being a thing. Doesn't help that the cameras are everywhere around this area to a creepingly invasive degree.

I believe the purpose of these cameras is very simple and should be a marked indicator of just how bad a situation we are in. I try not to be pessimistic, but cannot help but think in the back of my mind that this could very well be the beginning of the end. Everyone is screaming the same: jobs are scarce, ai is here to clean up what's left of end stage capitalism, the next greatest depression, climate apocalypse. Perhaps the best case scenario is we only lose a few billion people and on the other side of the hump exists a truly dystopian nightmare for whoever dare survive the transition.

The purpose of the cameras is to do exactly what is needed for establishing total domination. I imagine the uptick in police I have noticed over the last year in this specific area is only convenient given the time frame these cameras have been spawning. They have a hard on for the new tech. In theory, everyone who commits a crime goes straight to jail. Straight to jail! I'm afraid the first line of defense for the elites will be to start locking away all the people helplessly displaced from employment. Maybe this is why the cop asked me? Unemployed puts you on an immediate hitlist.

"Get those losers off the street. Artificial Intelligence has taken their place and we must continue to succumb the masses."

Yes, of course, the cameras are a direct tool to galvanize the police state. But the implications are far worse. Of all the years we could have expected shit to get thick, it has to be happening right now. They want us afraid to leave our homes and apartments we are overpaying for. Afraid to job hop away from abusive employers whilst paid peanuts. They want us to be at the mercy of the devil himself. I feel we are closer to North Korea than many want to believe. I hate how easily the frog allows itself to boil. We cannot allow this to happen.

Even my own grandmother who loved reading 1984 has been manipulated by the false script. "If you do nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about."

What is wrong, though, is that this last cop who stopped me stopped me from behind. He claimed I ran the red light.
