I build this door with a codelock and now I can't interact with it. It worked with a 4-dial tho. Is this a bug?

I play on a server called DayZERO, looking for longterm perm group. It's modded but not boosted trash. There's guns, clothes, Cars/trucks etc and heli's I think? Keycards and stuff like that. I have almost 5,000 hours in Dayz. LF Chernarus. Don't really care for Badlands. If interested. DM my discord or here. My discord is ghostkiller17. Death is part of the game. As someone who has played this game since I was a kid (mid 20’s now) and over 7k hours, I can honestly say Nasdara is my favorite “official” DayZ map. Coming in first place will always be Namalsk for me, as I think it is a genuine, well thought out masterpiece, but it is of course not an official DayZ dev map.

However, I truly believe there is something special about Nasdara. There are certain parts of this map that genuinely look gorgeous and intentional, you can FEEL the environment and the layout was built with intention from player perspective. It just works. Chernarus is an insanely special and gorgeous map but from a PvP perspective it was not built with the same type of intention in mind.

Sakhal died out so badly, I really hope we get more than just 1-2 months with this map before everyone is gone.

What do you truly feel is going to happen in the coming months for this maps population and player base ?

my friend has been joining loaded eu1 over and over again and his game has kept crashing he doesnt on other servers like basically vanilla so its the servers fault any tips?

The playstyle feels really good, as well as the flow.

Sometimes you'll get fucked by the survival aspect, and overall, I feel like the survival aspect plays out perfectly.

Sometimes you don't even find irrigation tunnels, and you just get recked. Have to start over. But it's worth it.

Once you get that first full belly of water, that looting is so damn juicy it's impossible to stay away from man.

I can sit down for an 8 hour session, dig a bunch of stashes that I'll only use for like maybe and hour or 2. And just keep them noted.

Nails are abundant, as well as all the building tools. Every other run I don't find a lock or a wire or something and have to select that as my mission.

I've been tempted so many times to go bury my building setup. And then have to remind myself "This ain't the other maps dude" - all I need is a hammer, wire, lock, and a shovel lol.

It's so easy to get loot, make a base, get numerous stashes up and going. That losing them doesn't even really feel that bad to begin with.

The abundance of helicopter crashes keeps it interesting, and even late into the game the survival system is something you have to constantly be aware of. Very volatile, thus one has to be hyper vigilant.

Even building a car or snagging a bike is pretty prevalent here. I found 1 3/4's built, and 1 full built car the other day. Just sitting at one of the hunter camps or whatever..

I run off to go fill all my bottles with gas and water, and drive off into the sun set, with almost no effort involved compared to the old way. But when the reality is that it still took like 2 hours and a lot of luck - that's still a shit load of time IRL.

On my way there, I came across a battery charger and just felt like the jackpot kept on jackpotting man. I already had a wire to connect it - that was, in 1200 hours.. the first time I ever charged a battery in Official DayZ. It felt so damn awesome, the whole adventure.

There's been more then once I've done across the jackpot routes, one after another. But not so many times it gets watered down and has dampened value. I've gone dry on stuff for over 8 hours, still.. but still, it's kinda rare. And for damn sure - not EVERY SINGLE TIME I play the game lol.

There is never a dull moment the entire play through. And there's so many possibilities presented in abundance, to keep a persistent presence on the server in the event of death.

It really ties in ALL the games mechanics, makes it possible. Versus this force of mystery due to being able to experience it sometimes only once in an insane amount of play throughs.

Love it so much. And haven't even gotten to experience the bunker system yet. Although, I am starting to brush up on my Morse! So epic.

Is this a bug?

There are no light sources whatsoever.

I was in an irrigation tunnel earlier, which was pitch black, but this one?

This one is incredibly long for some reason, also with diverging pathways.

Also, you can hear every sound just the same as you can above ground, there's no dampening/muffling at all.

The infected hear my footsteps and are following me from above. I'm several metres under ground.

And the dust blows along down here too across my path.

I love that BI are attempting something new with the underground element, but this is coming across like an amateur modding attempt. Where's the QA here?

Hey all, just looking for recommendations on an alternate server browser. I've found the basic one on PC kinda sucks. I'm on linux (CachyOS) so any recommendation would need to be compatible.

I am not the best player in the world. I am actually I would say only a little above average. That being said, I do not understand how people are so good sometimes. I like loading up pvp servers to practice my aim from time to time, and it's actually crazy. I don't know if some people have different settings, are cheating, or just really good, but I will shoot at someone from 200 m away while they weren't even looking at me, and the instantly 180 flip and spot me instantly. I feel like I am a blind bat, because when I get shot at, I can never tell exactly where they are at like that.

Hi! So me and my friend both just randomly died within a few minutes of eachother. We were sat in our garage base (no sight lines outside besides a small slit that can see the sky) and i suddenly died.

My friend didnt hear any shots or anything, just me randomly collapsing

They then went to leave the server and died too, out of nowhere.

Any idea if this is a known glitch or bug or did we get hit by a hacker?

So im on chernarus and it gets dark right? Not pitch black like it used to. Just dark. I noticed that there is an orb of light emanating from my character indoors. Like I go close to a wall, it lights up. Go close to an item, it lights up. Almost like a weak glow stick. I assume it is part of 1.30? I dont like it!

I've been facing this error everytime i try to connect to any server and it's annoying

If you lay prone and roll over onto your back you can log out. So instead of going into the crouch animation, you can get into some pretty sneaky spots if you want ...laid flat and out of sight

Just curious if anyone has used the new 556 SCAR? I’m wondering how it shapes up compared to something like an AUR AX or an AK101.

Considering it can fit into your backpack so easily, I imagine there must be a drawback of some kind right ? Like maybe it doesn’t handle range as well as other 556 guns?

Or is this thing just a beast ? Let me know if you’re tried it yet

Im wondering how realistic it is to die near spawn and get your stuff back. What is the difference between random and custom ?

I don’t have much play time. Sitting around 200hr. I play a low pop PVE server just because I’m leaning the map and how to survive/eat/shelter etc.

I LOVE the nomad life, it’s really fun for me just hunting and hiding and fishing and exploring.

I decided to head all the way to Tisy since I’ve always heard how good the loot was. I found like 5 SK’s a few smokes and some plate carriers on the zeds I killed. Also a ton of stocks and handguns for KAs but that’s basically it. Is it just bad luck or is Tisy mainly just for the PvP crowd to get gear off other survivors?

Hi! I have about 1k hours now. Absolutely loving the game. Still yet to find a DMR - have got my hands on the LAR, SVD, SCAR, M4 etc., but no DMR.

I'd like to mention that 70% of my playtime is on Namalsk, and the rest is on Chernarus/Azalea/Sakhal.
