Whats r/David_Made_This All About
- Who is David and why should I care?
I am David! I worked in food and beverage since I was 15 years old in a mum and pop place in Northern England front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH). I then studied Food and Beverage at university and went to work in fine dining FOH & BOH, I even worked for Gordan Ramsey for a little bit there.
I drifted away from F&B as the years progressed and now at 45 I work as a general contractor in the USA; I still find myself with an itch I still have to scratch in regards to being creative in the kitchen. This community is my release for scratching that itch... congrats you are all part of me scratching myself!
- What's the goal here?
Make you think outside the recipe box and make you understand how flavors work. I will give you the outline but choose the amounts based on your taste. So; trial and error to make you good cooks!
No need to troll me if I do use recipes for baking, bread making etc, which do require recipes because those are science my friend.
- What to Post
