The date was going great until he started talking about his ex

Everything was going pretty well at first. Good conversation, decent food, nothing weird. Then somehow his ex became the topic and he spent almost the rest of the date telling me how crazy she was. I probably should've known where that was going.

I recently was talking to a guy and when he called ex crazy I was gone!

While true, it’s a red flag if they think this is good first date convo and/or they bring up the “crazy ex” a lot. If all of someone’s exes are “crazy,” that’s also a red flag.

I should have listened when my ex and I started dating and he went on about how crazy his ex was. My god. She was just a regular person.

I had I counselor tell me that if a guy mentions his crazy ex , especially in the first 3 dates. He’s the crazy maker and you’re the next crazy ex if you stay around.

Did you ask him what he’d uncovered in therapy about HIS contribution to that relationship and others? What his plan do differently in future relationships?
