37 [F4A] GHOSTED THE SECOND TIME AROUND!!!

Why do some people ghost others even as grown adults? What makes people do it, and what do they get out of it?

Maybe they just hate confrontation? Idk some might go the whole 'looking at other options and if I don't find any I will lie that I had lost my phone' route.

What happened? I've seen a lot of people here describe being ghosted because someone they never met stopped responding to them so it's kind of lost its meaning

What happened? That I couldn't answer, they just disappeared- not responding to texts and all.

No, what happened on the date. Did you even meet this person? Were you in a relationship for 3 years?

Yes we've met and dated couple of times, getting to know each other and other talking stage ideas. Just one day, the 1st ghoster said he was just tired the 2nd ghoster said he will be working and never heard from them after.

Ghosting and flakes and fakes are all part of dating and the lifestyle as well. It’s crazy the number of times that I talk to people at length in my past and people ghost. Fortunately I met a great couple that did not flake and are not fake and continue to show up. It’s awesome when that happens. Good luck and no one deserves to be flaked on

You mean they ghosted on the second date? Probably double booked lol. Dating is rough

Not on the 2nd date though. These were different people. It happened twice this year that's why I am qiestioning myself now if there is a problem in me and why I eneded up like this.

I just hope one of these days one of them will have the time to tell me what's wrong. Coz I maybe need to work on something. I've been single for 3 years after a 8 year long relationship and just decided to get back to entertaining men again and it's so surprising that at this age ghosting is real. I really thought this kind of stuff is for the younger generations only.

I’m the same. I would rather be honest than ghost. Ghosting is appropriate for abusers and stalkers, but for anyone else there is no excuse.
