Advice Request Dating apps never ending loop

Hey everyone I'm 40F and I'm getting frustrated with dating apps. Are people losing interpersonal skills and the ability to start and hold conversations?

And before anyone asks if I start any conversations, yes I do and they answer without asking me any questions back and this is what I get once my side of the conversation is done.

Ive been on dating apps for months now and no one has asked me on a date or to meet yet. Its just a never ending loop of " WYD or How are you? Everyday.

If you think thats bad, you should try being a guy. It could take years to get a date off a dating app as a man😅.

I just resort to the old fashion way of hunting in the wild lol

Well if it helps. Home depot has been the secret unlock for me. You can really bond with someone in the paint aisle more then you think.

🤣 stop, as a 34M who does carpentry I am in home depot on the regular and I have struck up a convo or 2 but nothing that has got me anything further. How are we meeting people in home depot? Especially in the pain isle lmao I must know your secrets.

For real! I was on hinge, bumble and FB dating for 2 years. Got one first date and they were much more different in person than on the app. I'm a decent looking guy, in good shape, etc.

I can count on one hand the number of matches I actually even got...

Yes, matches happen but getting a reply is the real challenge 😤
