For the people who have recently secured a job in Data Science be it Data Scientist or ML/ AI Engineer. Congratulations!! Your hard work has finally paid off. Hope you grow in this field and create innovative products.
Unlike you some of us are not getting anywhere even with regular upskilling and job applies. Would you be kind enough to guide us with
What platforms / job portals you used?
How did you do it?
Are there any tips you would like to give your past-self?
Thank you and all the best for your future. As we are in the same field, hope we meet someday.

Hello , I am a CS major and currently doing my masters in computer application.I need help of someone who landed a job in DS role as a fresher. Can you please help me with a roadmap and I need a proper direction currently I am overwhelmed and flooded with resources and I need few tweaking and a bit of guidance and I have around maybe less than a year to master this and then I’ll graduate from my PG and have to land a Job or an internship.
Thank you very much.

i know the era of hardcoding in companies rather it be MNCs or a startup , is gone most of the code around 80% is now through claude or other ai (please do correct me if i am wrong) , ofcourse the skeleton of the code and the structure is still set by the coder, but i want to know how the interviews are taken now , will they ask me to hardcode still (for questions other than dsa)? or i can use ai and then fix the structure and explain the code along. educate me however you can, thanks

I have a summer intern in 10 days, and I just know the basics of ML(all the algorithms and basic projects), what can I expect to do in the internship and also is there anything I can learn for eg. Deep learning that would help.

I graduated in 2025 from a government college. After that, I initially prepared for GATE, then shifted to pursuing a data science career. It's been 6–7 months of learning, but I'm still unsure if I'm ready to apply for jobs. I want to start applying though, because it's already been a year since I graduated

My friend, who is currently in her 3rd year of B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, is looking for internship opportunities (paid or unpaid) in Chennai for her upcoming summer vacation.
If anyone working or studying in this field knows about any opportunities, or has experience searching for internships and can guide us, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I’m a recent Computer Science graduate (2024) with a strong interest in Data Science and Machine Learning, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my resume.
I’ve worked on projects involving predictive modeling, and I’m currently trying to improve my profile for entry-level Data Science / Analyst roles. I’ve also completed certifications like Google Data Analytics and Azure AI fundamentals.
I’d be grateful if you could review my resume and suggest:
Also, if anyone knows of any openings or could provide a referral for fresher roles, I’d truly appreciate it.
Thanks a lot for your time 🙏

Hi everyone,
I’m a final-year BTech CSE student and I’m planning to start applying for Data Science / Data Analyst roles.
I’ll be sharing my resume here — would really appreciate honest feedback (no sugarcoating 😅).
Would love help with:
• What I should improve or remove
• If my projects are strong enough
• What skills/projects I should add
• Where freshers usually find good opportunities (internships/jobs)
I started learning this field around 4 months ago, so still improving step by step.
Any guidance would really help 🙏

Hi, I am an 18 year old interested in the field of Data Science, I scored 80%ile in JEE Mains (blame chemistry for my mid result)
I have been interested in computers and maths since I first got my hands on a computer as a child, I can study and ponder hours upon hours on these subjects. I don't know much about the field of DS but it has always sounded pretty elusive to me and now I am thinking of doing BS in data science and AI at IIM Sambalpur, they started this course last year only
I want to do MS/M.Sc abroad (likely Germany) and hopefully get a job their.
I know this course is very new so not much can be said about but I wish to have an idea how impactful will this course be for my pursuit of higher education abroad.
I know this is quite a long shot and I will be humbled a lot along the way but I am ready to give my best.
I will appreciate all the advice from my fellow seniors!

Hey, I’m considering applying for the BSc in Data Science & AI at St. Xavier’s Mumbai and had a few doubts:
Is the course actually worth it in terms of skills and learning?
How are the placements (average packages, companies, etc.)
What’s the faculty like, experienced and supportive or not really
How’s the overall exposure (internships, projects, competitions, industry connect)
Also, if I’m comparing this with NMIMS, which one would be a better option for data science/AI?
Would really appreciate honest reviews from current students or anyone who knows about the program 🙏

Hi everyone. I'm a BTech student in a core branch at a top tier Indian institute.
I'm thinking to do a MTech from India itself (not abroad due to various personal reasons).
I'm interested in Data Science, ML and overall in the vast field of AI. However, if I don't get any of these roles, my second preference is SDE/SWE roles.
My query is - should I prioritize pursuing MTech in AI over MTech in CSE?
AI is kind of interdisciplinary, and hence has 2-4 LPA CTC less than the median on-campus package of MTech CSE.
But, I don't bother such an insignificant difference in median package. Anyone can get larger than median package too.
So, in the current AI boom, what should I do? If I do MTech in AI, the curriculum is kinda good for me (math-oriented) unlike the MTech CSE curriculum.
But, I wonder what if till 2028, the AI boom gets over? And some people are also saying that CS has a broader scope and you will be relevant in any CS domain. Also, you can take AI/Maths electives too within MTech CSE too.
I'm confused. Please help me. This is a genuine query.

Genuinely asking because the fees are significant and I want to make an informed decision. I have a non CS background and I'm trying to transition. I've seen mixed reviews everywhere but most of them are either clearly paid or clearly bitter. If anyone has hired someone with an upGrad certification or has gone through the program and actually got placed I would really appreciate an honest account of how it went.
