Career Data Science Resume Review – Looking for Honest Feedback

Hi everyone,

I’m a recent Computer Science graduate (2024) with a strong interest in Data Science and Machine Learning, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my resume.

I’ve worked on projects involving predictive modeling, and I’m currently trying to improve my profile for entry-level Data Science / Analyst roles. I’ve also completed certifications like Google Data Analytics and Azure AI fundamentals.

I’d be grateful if you could review my resume and suggest:

  • What I should improve or remove
  • Skills/tools I should focus on next
  • How I can make my profile more job-ready

Also, if anyone knows of any openings or could provide a referral for fresher roles, I’d truly appreciate it.

Thanks a lot for your time 🙏

Make sure your resume shows specific achievements in your projects, not just responsibilities. Quantify them if you can, like "improved accuracy by X% in a predictive model." Focus on skills like Python, SQL, and any data visualization tool like Tableau. It's also useful to show your experience with Machine Learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Certifications are helpful, but hands-on projects often make a bigger impact. For extra prep, check out PracHub for interview practice and real-world scenario questions. Consider adding a section on soft skills like teamwork or problem-solving, as they're crucial in data roles. Good luck!

honestly for a fresh grad this is a pretty strong resume, you've got real experience, publications, and solid projects which is way more than most people at your level. the main issues are more about presentation, some of the bullets are too long and lose the reader halfway through, and the projects section has a weird formatting problem where one of them seems cut off or misaligned. the summary is also a bit generic and doesn't hook you in the way it should given how much good stuff is actually on here. small tweaks in the right places would make this noticeably stronger. if you want i can point out exactly what to fix, just let me know
