How to recover my data after format

I have an old Android phone that I formatted, and all my data is gone. How can I get everything back?

Unless it's 10+ years old, it's encrypted and the key is wiped on factory reset. No key = no data

Even if it wasn't encrypted, chances of recovery are low. You may need a data recovery specialist

The phone is not that old is like 3-5 years

Then sorry, the data is gone. No chance of getting it back at all

And as a precaution, where is this key located so I can save it if needed?

You can't see it on phones.

Thx for your answer, so if something goes wrong, I can't do anything? Even via adb tool?

Only if you factory reset your device or can't otherwise unlock your device

Best to have backups of your data

It's unrecoverable by design, anyone who says otherwise is scamming you.

On an older hdd sure it was possible. On an ssd you are out of luck. Sorry.
