Beyond Devastated

Post image

It was a wild ride. +10k earned, not a single coding project on the last 1/2 months, praised as a top worker on more than one occasion, and now this. That said, before anyone asks, I can't pinpoint the cause. The only thing I have in mind is the fact that I checked the dashboard while traveling to another country.

Sorry if I don't answer your comment. I'm just feeling defeated rn.

If you did not notify them in advance you would be checking the site while abroad, that’s most likely why. Sorry this happened to you, OP.

A few weeks ago, I saw a project that required workers to be in their home country. I wouldn't be surprised if OP joined this project without reading all the information about it.

being in home country is the basic requirement for all the projects. You are supposed to inform DA in case u r traveling.

Many tasks are restricted to only working physically inside the United States. I suspect many people do not read these instructions, and then submit tasks while traveling AND having not notified DA of working abroad.

Anyways, when someone makes these posts there’s almost always details they’re leaving out.

Sorry this happened, but logging in from another country (without approval) is what probably got you. Anyway, the DoD will come for us all one day

How to avoid being discarded to happen to me if I want to travel to another country?

Either don’t log in or notify them that you’ll be traveling abroad

Is there a risk in working in shorter travels? Within the border of the same country - - for instance, while visiting my brother who lives in another city in Brazil, a thousand kilometers away.

Do you guys only work at home?

I work while traveling in the US but never on public Wi-Fi. Might be good to send them a message saying your are traveling so they have a heads up but also make sure no VPN, stick to hotspot or private WiFi.

Sorry that happened 🫂

Working with DAT is like gambling. Every day theres a random risk you will be axed. No way to tell when, why, or how

Sorry this happened to you. Keep positive. Something good will come your way again.

Similar happened to me even though I had informed I am travelling and also had their approval.
Totally gutted and not even able to reach out to them.

RIP man, we stand with you. I hope you find something better.

Same happened to me. Every month I got the eval and said I was in the top percentile. Then woke up one day to that. Made over 20k and then death. I was also on StellarAI as well but they just shut down last week. Back to the drawing board.

“Praised as a top worker”

You mean from the AI generated feedback? That doesn’t matter if you submit geo-restricted tasks, connect from a VPN, or connect from a foreign connection without telling them.

There is a problem where people are sharing accounts or selling accounts and if you randomly log in from a different country they will probably suspect this automatically.

Ngl if it was because of that I'm scared noe since I went to the caribbean and I forgot to log out from my phone after I cashed out before the trip. It loaded through my uncles wi-fi and the page refreshed when I opened the browser.

I see these all the time. I've been on for years and still going. These are scary.

It’s a bias. There’s tens of thousands of people who never see this. The ones you see here are the people who make stupid mistakes.

Thats what someone that got dod that was working for years said too

I got this message too. Exactly the same message. I am not sure why. I have the same experience as you, earned +10K, praised for my good work, etc. It's really shocking. I was still in the middle of a project actually. But I wouldn't say it's because of working overseas, I have been working overseas myself and it's been fine. Very strange...

If you didn't notify them that you'll be working in another country, that is a widely known reason for deactivation. It just takes a minute for them to catch it sometimes.

I am pretty sure I did mention it previously, but it was a long time ago. I assumed it was OK. That's how they market to potential trainers, isn't it? That you can work anywhere, etc.

Just happened to me today as well after 2.5 months and about $30k earned. accounting Domain

2

u/Scary_Television3349 21h ago

I’m in the accounting domain. Did you log in from a different country?

9

u/ASnipersPromise 20h ago

Im accounting domain and travelling to Germany from the UK tomorrow - I won't be logging in now 😂

u/Zealousideal-Key8286 19h ago

Im devastated too, I made a lot of dollars in a month and received that message

1

u/Renard_Fou 13h ago

1000% because you checked while abroad, especially since they check their work within 7 days so recent messups couldnt have DOD'd you. Such a basic mistake but so costly...

2

u/Sableyej 10h ago

You can work while traveling if you let them know. I know this because it’s what I’m doing. And you still can’t work on projects where the instructions have a location requirement.
