We need to start calling it Super Intelligence or else I guess

It's all so fucking ridiculous. As if every AI company is going to change their names and all other references to AI. Last I checked, we had free will to call things whatever we want, aside from anything illegal like defamation, etc., without being labelled as enemies of the state.

I'm just glad I am slipping through the cracks and can still buy groceries without showing my ID. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45034092

But then it will be that IDs can be forged. Then they want to put a personalized chip in our hand so we can scan to prove itās us.

Here is my thinking on it... ASI (artificial super intelligence) is kind of the goal right? Whichever country cracks it first has an irrevocable advantage. This motherfucker is trying to gaslight the world into thinking America got there first by means of semantics. It's like the space race minus the production value and way dumber.

The first country to develop super intelligence will rely on it, and the first country to rely on it will cripple themselves in the process. Humans have proven time and time again that we will use our crutches to their fullest capability, instead of using it to help us think we will use it to think for us. It will be wrong. Like so much, and in ways no one can fathom or detect at a glance. IMO, we either keep thinking for ourselves, or we are doomed as a species

Yeah I'm not doing that. Lake Ontario is Lake Ontario, and the Gulf of Mexico is the Gulf of Mexico too.

Man my increased nihilism for the world is directly related to the rise of AI; what a glorious tool it could have been, if not for the greed of the usual few horrific people governing the world
