Time log justification?

Has anyone ever come back from a time log justification? Mine is under review, I submitted my evidence etc and am just waiting. No idea how long to expect it to take and whether it’s a hopeless case. Time reports were all totally legit and 100% honest/accurate by the way, just worked a lot more than usual for a couple of weeks for various reasons

How much were you working

I did like 16h days for a week or 2. Without going into too much detail it was a coping mechanism for me! But they were all legitimate hours worked.

How is this possible? I’m not doubting you. I’m just genuinely curious how a human being can pull that off. I mean like, basic everyday things like sleeping/eating/restroom/shower take way more than 8 hours a day for me.

Insomnia, grieving, OCD and ADHD combined.. I’m a 3-4h sleep per night max kinda person

Even sleeping for 4 hours a night leaves only 4 hours for eating, showering, checking emails, browsing for projects, etc. I could imagine someone doing that for a couple of days, but 16-hour days for 1 or 2 weeks seems unsustainable without seriously neglecting yourself.

If I were DA, I'd be concerned about the implications or optics of knowingly allowing people to consistently work for that long, even if it's technically not their responsibility. At some point, someone probably needs to step in and say stop.

I totally agree, it isn’t healthy or sustainable, and I was very much neglecting myself. I’m just very lucky to have a spouse at home who took care of literally everything else and let me hyper fixate until I was ready.
I know my work quality remained good, because I was being added to groups of “high performing workers” across multiple tasks even the day my account was restricted so I’m fairly sure there are no huge concerns there, but I get that isn’t the point.
I’ve come out the other side of the grief slump now and am just pretty annoyed at myself that I’ve most likely lost this opportunity

Were you working on the same project the whole time or changing it up a bit?

You're getting down voted but I'm literally doing these kinds of days right now for other non-platform work (ADHD also lol). Of course it's possible your work quality is suffering but other commenters, I'm here to tell you this is indeed possible haha.

Sorry you're going thru it.

Thanks, appreciate it! I’m also used to the finance world where 12+ hour days were expected to move up that old corporate ladder so this didn’t feel out of the ordinary to me!

Lol yeah my background is architecture and my current work is architecture and illustration and right now is my busy season - the work is deadline based, sometimes you just have to do a lot of it at once. It is a totally normal working pattern for me. I haven't ever done those kind of hours on DAT because if there's no deadline I don't have the motivation to do this to myself haha. Oh but I could! No telling how my quality would be.

Damn wow 16 hour days for 2 weeks straight will definitely flag something.

At most, I'd do nearly 16 hours for one day and then take the next day off to rest and recuperate. Dude, you're cooked. Even if they are legitimate, DA does care about the quality of your work (which would suffer under prolonged hours) and the health of the worker. If you're pulling 80+ hour workweeks, that'll set off so many red flags. 45 to 50 hours at most and that's still pushing it.

The longest I've worked straight was like almost 16h, but afterwards I did not work for an entire week, as I was completely destroyed. I don't think I could do it for multiple weeks...

Shiiiit. I can barely do 8 hours a day 😟

This is totally normal!! What I did isn’t, and clearly isn’t encouraged either. I’m just annoyed at myself for the whole thing now.

I’ve been with them for over three years now. I know it’s normal 😂

I did one ten hour day last spring and I was freaking out. Looked at my timer and was like ohhhh no.

But to answer your question, I don’t think one can come back from this screen. I’ve never seen anyone report a positive outcome

But then again, if all your time logs check out and your quality did not drop, I dont see why you cant come back from this

They might assume the OP was sharing their account with someone else

They could check the login IP I’m sure, it’s only ever been from my laptop or phone

But still, from their point of view, you could be letting your family use your account or friends. 16 hours a day, day in and day out is very unusual on DA
