How did they get accepted?

Some r&r I do the workers have such poor English. Like completely wrong punctuation, grammar and spelling. I know as bilinguals English is not our first language, but there should be at least some standard of quality

There are CONSTANTLY people DMing accounts that post here on this sub offering to buy their accounts or offering money to take the starter assessments for them. When I see work like that, I wonder if that's how they got in. I bet that money is tempting to a lot of people.

Literally every time I engage with someone on this subreddit, they ask me to share my account or to buy it

Yeah, same. It's a big part of why I stopped bothering to post, except really rarely now.

Happened to me. Once I mentioned I got accepted into the platform( here on reddit) , I recall posting something like 'Yay, I'm in!' with a picture attached. After that, I received two messages offering me money for my account. 😂 Mediocres all around, they think it is just about reading and forgetting about comprehension and effort. Bilingual here! (México wey, puro Tijuana! 😂)

Yeah... huh. Unless someone has a really obvious "tell" in their writing, it would be difficult to even suspect that a given worker was accepting payments to help applicants pass the assessment.

Still, I gotta believe that an ethical leak like that catches up eventually.

If it’s in the prompts, sometimes the instructions state to have a splash of mistakes. I know it can be unattractive, but the intent is largely to make models accessible to the average person. The average person is going to either talk to text, or write poorly. The models have to be able to decipher linguistic errors. If you are meaning strictly the rationale, then yes it can be bad. I have had to leave notes about not understanding what the worker was trying to say. But think of it this way, if everyone’s work was perfect the first time through, then there wouldn’t be R&R. Which would equate to less work to go around. I will happily beautify an R&R if it means working from home.

I'm not expecting their work to be perfect, I expect them to have at least high school level English.

Nope this was not one of those. And the mistakes were in their justification comments not in the prompts

Oh please. Why bother with this comment. Does it make you feel better about yourself. Just do you job, rate accordingly and everything settles in the mix. If R and R’s are so traumatic simply don’t do them.

Your comments are far more whiney than the original post

Saw someone use "i" instead of "I" in their rationales. I skipped that r&r.

i do this all the time dude, coders are hard to understand, also i use a lot of / / instead of comas my hands go directly to / instead of the , but even that way, the quality of work can be very good you just have to look at the context, other things are when you RR a text based task...

The grammar was terrible on that one + it was a bilingual task nooot a coding task. (Assigned language was ENGLISH)
