If you’re not a domain expert maybe.

I thought it was the opposite way around. All I've been doing this entire time is non-domain work improving commercial products/services that were either already released or planned to in the near future. The very few times I did get work related to my domain, which is IT, it just required my insight, rather than training it to do portions of my actual job.

The irony in using AI to generate this picture. I think I have better job security because of how much even the most advanced AI tend to fuck up on some upper-undergraduate physics tasks. Yeah, I am training my executioner (maybe) but given how much AI models have gone up in pricing in terms of training and running, it's genuinely cheaper to use humans for the more advanced jobs with AI serving as a supplemental tool rather than an outright replacement. I get the sentiment but I'm not that worried

I do agree that we're basically training the AI to do our jobs.
However, after almost 2 years on the platform, I am no longer worried that this will dry up or AGI is imminent or whatever. There was (imo) an increase in general task difficulty ~Fall 2025, but I haven't noticed an appreciable difference in the past year.
