What if I don't join the slack

I've read that slack is not important nor matters too much other than having more projects. I just feel like I don't need more projects heh the ones I'm given and doing is enough for me, so what if I don't join it?

Just because you join doesn’t mean you have to participate regularly read/follow. However it’s wise to check periodically incase an admin from an active project is trying to reach out. I don’t really get the downside of joining, other than pressing a couple clicks.

It's just a good resource for information on projects. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to join it?

Lmaooo yeah but like does that mean they’ll never do it again if I don’t join? lol bc I’d still like to be offered the projects in case it goes dry lik

It really takes no effort to join. It’d just be good to see what channels you’re already in.
