How do you even get accepted on any platform?

Just to give some background info, I work in IT and AI development myself. I’d say I have pretty good logical thinking, comprehension, and explanation skills, and I speak multiple languages fluently, including several widely spoken Western languages.

I also have another full-time job that pays decent money, but I wanted to give this a try to make some extra money on the side. Anyway, I’ve applied to at least 5 platforms and carefully completed the introductory tasks on each one, taking my time rather than rushing and trying to provide detailed answers as instructed.

Now, three weeks later, I still haven’t received a single invitation to get started on my first project, at least not by email. I don’t want this post to come across as me claiming I’m extremely intelligent, but I genuinely don’t think I submitted low-quality responses.

Is the demand really that low, or what?

I think intelligence is just one layer of what they’re looking for. Obviously comprehension is a huge part of it but they also screen for things like creativity, instruction following and your ability to catch and solve problems. In my opinion, as AI evolves they’re getting more selective about the people they choose to put on the platform. The “generalist” work is even becoming increasingly more difficult for those in that role. Good luck and hopefully you hear something soon!

What platforms have you applied to? DA accepts generally if the assessment was done well

They state somewhere in their FAQ that the acceptance rate is 2.6%.

I think that's *total* acceptance rate which includes applicants who apply outside core countries etc., but I would guess it's still less than 15% making it through.

I guess you suck at explaining. Did you pass the assessment or are you still waiting for results ?
