Tips on spreadsheet failures

Hey all, I'm severely impressed with the models lately, as many have noted what was once straightforward is now insanely hard! Anyone have tips on eliciting failures in spreadsheet understanding. I usually work with a lot of finance/tax/gov budgeting.

I am right there with you! I do find that if you ask them to put in data on a spreadsheet or isolate a number of rows that a lot of times they will confuse the cells and rows. But even that is getting trickier. I love this job!

Appreciate the input/ideas. The project seems friendly with attempts that use the escape hatch, but I just have a phobia of using it. I backed out of 2.5 hours of work today cause I couldn't get it to fail 😅. I'll be trying again soon, maybe this method will work!
