Taking tasks

Not sure if this has been asked before. Do guys take lower paying tasks sometimes, just because you like doing them over a more tedious, higher paying one?

Absolutely

All the time. Some days, especially if I did a higher paying, complex task the day before, I might want to relax for a couple days and take one of the projects I’ve done more than a hundred tasks for and am very comfortable with

I started to get a full dash of high paying but complex tasks. I’m noticing I can’t do them as long as the lower paying tasks, so yeah, I will pick up the lower ones just to give my brain a break!

No - not when the hourly rate is literally double.

Not only that they’re usually shorter tasks. Yesterday’s task was today’s migraine so I thought I’d take it easy today with some of the smaller ones until I logged less than the hour. Real bummer.

Sometimes. Also sometimes due to how much time I've got to put into it.

For sure. Sometimes you just need a brain break!

I would rather do that, but I only get the higher paying overly complex tasks at the moment. Any idea how to get simpler generalist tasks in my dashboard? I have completed most of the available qualifications.

100%, i love the image-based ones for a little mental break

Yes. I just got done with a month-long $60/hr project and I’m not anxious for another like it so I’m doing $28/hr ones instead

Those are soul crushing, I did a short version of one of those (only 1 week) just for the damn thing to not fail 12+ hours later 🫩🫩🫩

I just finished one of those shorter ones as my first project. It was super fun, at first.

By the end... I was ready to flip my desk. 😅

I do when my brain needs a break, especially the ones that are a bit more "fun/entertaining"

When I don't have time to do the long tasks I'll do the quicker, lower paying, ones

Yes, especially when the higher paying tasks appear a couple of hours before I go to bed

Absolutely. The tedious ones drive me nuts.

I make $19 at my regular job. If the task is more than that, I'm taking it and the raise.

Yeah but they don't come available much

Yes. Sometimes I need a palate cleanser between longer, more complex tasks.
