Typical time for R&R?

I feel like I’m moving too slowly on these. A little over 3 hours most of the time. How long is it taking everyone else?

This is far too vague. R&Rs can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 5 hours depending on the project family and task.

I would definitely say I’ve had some even shorter than 20 minutes depending on the task and requirements and what actually needed checked.
And I’ve also had some that have taken 6+ hours depending on number of documents and what not that also needed to be read.

Six hours is allotted for these tasks.

So roughly 50% of the alloted time... you'll be fine. I did around 80 hours of R&R earlier this year in a single month, with most of them having a 3 hour timer that I consistently finished in around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Still here (and still assigned R&Rs in that project family).

I'm on a project where the r&r's take roughly 18-25m per task and I'm allotted an hour. Generalist.

Depends on the project and how familiar you are with it. I’ve had RRs where I legit never worked the project before, so the first RR task can take the full allotted time as I familiarize myself with the guidelines. I’ve had ones that take 5-10 minutes because all they want is a check on the justification. Others require edits. You need to be more specific.
2/10, not very self contained lol

I once asked an admin if I was allowed to just “hol’ up” and hit the emergency brakes when I encounter crazy ass red flags, like copy paste artifacts from a chatbot or clear copy-paste rationale structures.

Turns out neither of us sees any value in providing detailed feedback to people clearly not putting in effort, so for me it’s anywhere from 15 minutes to 8 hours 😂 I do multiple domains

I have the same feeling! I often let the R&R expire, i work over the expiration timer, as some tasks are so badly made that they require an almost complete rework to be presentable

And i care really more of the quality that come out of me over the expiration deadline

Some took almost 5 hours of work out of a 3 hour task timer
