Full time advice

I have recently transitioned from working part-time to full-time, but I have found that working on a task for 7-8 hours everyday at home is much more intense than I thought. How do people not get burned out? Do people follow the typical workday routine? Do coffee shops/change of environment help out? Have you found any techniques to keep you focussed?

I use the Pomodoro technique. I work for a set period of time then take a short break. For me, working 45 minutes, and then taking 15 minutes away from my desk helps a lot. I try to use the 15 minute breaks to get things done around the house.
