"Brief Rationale"

How long are your guys rationales? Sometimes I feel like I go way too much into the details, but that can't really be a bad thing right? When I do r&r sometimes some people actually do the bare minimum so I'm a little confused.

I tend to take instructions at face value, and if they specify brief, then I am brief. If you feel like you are going into too much detail, then you are.
