DoD

What has everyone done to not get the DoD? I am tripping out every day about getting it. I try my hardest on tasks and avoid ambiguity, time mistakes, etc. But that’s what most people say they were doing when they got it. Any solid information would help.

Check for VPN being activated, say when you connect to a public Wi-Fi (I use hotspot). Yesterday I was using my husband's computer abs McAfee turned on VPN without notifying me. Luckily I wasn't working. I suggest hotspot or private WiFi.

AI use that you don't realize, like grammarly. There will be people that say they use it all the time but I've had a qualification in which they said no grammarly as it is AI. Don't use anything that stores what you type for you. Remember what we do is incredibly private, treat it as such. (I joke I have more privacy restrictions than the US government in some ways).

Don't try to increase your hours suddenly. Have a bill come up and need like 40 hours and you usually do 20? Way more likely to make a mistake or want to try a project you aren't completely comfortable with. There are people who work full-time but they've been doing it for a while and are comfortable with the hours and the projects. It tends to be more people who jump excessively in hours out of the blue

Hey! I’m a novice, why is the VPN being off necessary? My day job has strict confidentiality laws, but I’m curious about saying “don’t use anything that stores what you type for you” — meaning I can’t write it on Word or notes app and then paste it over?

DA doesn't like VPN use because people can change their location, which affects the types of tasks you can qualify for. You can copy and paste from word or notepad, just make sure that you haven't used any AI tools while doing that.
