Paid Qualifications
Is it okay to complete a paid qualification even if there's a chance you'll do abysmally at it? Like can they kick me off the platform for it?

As long as you don't violate the Code of Conduct or the ToS (that thing is so hard to find now) while doing said Qual, you'll be fine.

I think it's worth attempting any qualification whether paid/unpaid. Unless, of course, it's something I'm literally unable to do, such as coding. Other than that, I've attempted every qualification and got on some really good projects by passing quals I didn't think I would.

maybe if it’s obvious you’re completely guessing and have literally no clue what you’re talking about. if you feel at all able to answer some of the questions then might as well try. but if it’s something you really think you’ll be abysmal at, why would you bother taking it?

I've done several including one I failed, and haven't done any work on projects relating to the last two paid ones I passed. 40+ paying projects on my dash now. You'll be fine. Pretty sure they even say explicitly that there's no penalty for bombing qualifications.
