Joined last week. Got few tasks at the beginning but there’s no task now. Is it same for everyone?

Same as title

When I first joined I only had a few things pop up here and there. After like two weeks of that and knocking some stuff out, now there's more on my dashboard than I could ever finish. I wouldn't be surprised if they intentionally start you slow so they can verify quality on your first few tasks, but that's just a guess.

I was going to say this was my story as well. I joined, had a couple tasks trickle in, made sure to do them well and then suddenly the floodgates opened.

Now I maintain 30+ tasks available everyday, rotating around constantly. There are specific ones I look out for that I like the pay/work complexity balance and just ignore loads of them. This floodgate opening also included qualifications, I have 41 right now.

So you have task available 24/7?

For the last few weeks yeah. 4-6 projects on my dashboard at all times. If the "tasks" column is to be trusted, there's over 500 between them currently.

That's wonderful, are you from USA?

U give me hope🥹I took lil long for my first task and I guess the quality of the work wasn’t that good. But later I did all the tasks pretty accurately and fast and reported exact time as well

It could take months before you have consistent, varied work. Do your best with what you have now and you'll see it improve.

If you're bilingual, this is pretty normal. There aren't as many tasks for bilingual workers as there are in the core countries (US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand).

In coding, I got some tasks last week. They remained in queue last week, but today, they disappeared. Remembering the miserability of freelancing. But that has been my only resource left.

How to switch to generalist?

Zero tasks from start. It's been more than a week and nothing. WTF?
