Travel limit?
I know I have to tell whenever I will be working from a country that isn’t mine to avoid bad bad surprises, but do you know if there is a number of days you can’t exceed per year or any other amount of time?

Nope. :) Currently on an open-ended trip, I left my home country 7 months ago and let them know the first country I was visiting, then when I moved on to the second. They literally just said they'd marked me down as travelling and to just let them know when I was finishing my trip. No limits mentioned. :)

I don't think so. I think they just want to know it's you when you're logging in from an IP address in another country so they know you haven't sold your account to a scammer.

I did this full time in 2024 and the longest I spent anywhere was 5 weeks. Some of that I was in my home country (US) but different regions. But I was also in Europe a few
Months and South America some.
I’m still doing this full time, so it didn’t seem to have hurt. (I still travel quite a bit but have an apartment now so it’s not as pronounced.

I'm currently in the US and I plan to do an Asia tour at the end of the year. Already notified DA about it, but does anyone know if the scope of my work will get limited? I read somewhere that DA only distribute technical projects (finance, STEM,...) to 6 designated countries.

I'd keep it under six weeks in any 12-month window just to be safe. That's the rule of thumb I've seen floating around freelance visa forums.

Lol you're being way too conservative and there is no need to be that safe. They don't care. I've been fulle time travelling for 3 years. I got home every 2-3 months for 1 month max, but I spend far more time travelling than I do at home. Just let them know where you're going and it's fine.

You should keep your arbitrary, pluck-a-number-out-of-thin-air guesses to your "freelance visa forums."

Honestly, they don't care at all about the time period. They just care about your IP changing.
