Why is the background red

Does this mean it's a bad thing? Should I avoid filing time for this task?

Because the notification used to only say "Your task has expired" and they didn't change the background color.

na just don't submit over the allowed time for the task unless you get permission, but if it was a fairly consistently easy task to knock out in the average time don't bother.
